Summerfield Crossings Golf Club
About
Summerfield Crossings Golf Club is a fun Scottish links style championship golf course designed by Ronald Garl. There are many moguls and palm trees that come into play throughout the course. Summerfield Crossings Golf Club has wide, gently rolling fairways, but do not underestimate the challenge. You must keep the ball on target thanks to pot bunkers, waste areas and small, undulating greens. The signature hole is No. 6, a 171-yard, par 3 that calls for a carry over water to a small peninsula green. Summerfield Crossings Golf Club has a wide, gently rolling fairways.

Slow play
We got out early as a two sum after two holes we had to wait so on the Third hole the AMBASATOR (ranger ) came by and talked to the four sum in front of us and then stopped to see what cart we were on ,so I asked him if he tried to speed up the ones in front of us and he tried to make a joke about it and started to go and by then a third golfer showed up so he checked his cart number and drove off so we asked the golfer to join us and teed off and the next hole another single came up and joined us still had to wait for every shot ! at the seventh hole another single caught us we told him how slow its been he said ok so on the tenth hole we asked the single to play in with us he joined us and we still had to wait to hit !
Well worth $$$ and time.
The staff were exceptional (pro shop, cart guy, ranger and bar maid). The course is a challenging layout; many doglegs, mostly to the left. Luckily I’m not a fader/slicer. The greens are tricky and undulating. They played slow that day due to a very long and heavy rain the night before but they were in good shape. All 4 par 3s have water. All in all, it was very enjoyable and well worth the $$$.
Nice layout
It was a little wet due to heavy rains the day/night before. Overall course is in great shapes for this time of year. Very nice layout. Staff very friendly.
We were told that the pace of play would speed up after the 5th hole. Didn’t happen.
The golf was enjoyable.
The staff were most accommodating. The course ambassador gave us her rake as we had left ours in a bunker accidentally. The starter offered to let us go off early as we had arrived early. Pace of play was a little slow after we caught up to the groups in front of us; however, we’ve experienced this on other golf course so have learned to enjoy the beautiful day! The course was in good playing condition and we enjoyed our round. And thanks to Golf Now for the hot deal!!
Great Golf
Enjoyed the round except for the pace of play. Almost 4-1/2 hours to play 18 holes, but it is a great course and I would do it again all things considered.
Enjoyable play with just enough callenge
Have played her several times and have found the course always in good shape. Tees placement will accommodate any skill level. Would recommend to any golfers to give it a try.
Summer field
This was my go to corse over the summer using golfnow hot deals. However this season it’s way over priced. It’s a nice corse but for money I’d rather diamond hill.
The corse layout is decent. A couple holes are lienant enough to allow an off tee shot. Others not. Greens as usual are always kept up but some inconsistency. Play here a few times and you’ll find ways to drive par 4s.
Overall I play here when I get a hotdeal only. It’s a clean great corse. I’d say play here at least once and make your opinion.
Mediocre at best
First of all, walking is prohibited at all times unless you are a member! Not good for those of us seeking "a good walk spoiled," as John Feinstein titled his book.
Took 4 and a half hours to play. Had to wait multiple times throughout the round.
Course design is mediocre. Good shots are often penalized.
I do not plan to play this course again.
Over seed looks great
The over seed on the green has come in and they really look great. They were a little rough during the grow in over the past few weeks but now they look great. The staff is always very friendly and had a great lunch at the grill. All around great expierance.
Poor course
I played Nov 29th and the course was awful. Greens were abject and nothing like they were many years ago. May need new greens. I am surprised by the recent high praise. I think if you play 90-110, maybe it is a fun day out for $15-20. If you play under 90, look elsewhere. In November, I was playing courses for $40 with 10-11 stimps.
Rained
Raining when I arrived at 1230 to tee off at one
Talked to the guy working in the pro shop
He said he wouldn’t go out because the storm was sitting right above the course
He said to call Golfnow and let them know
I started calling them from the parking lot
Never would answer the phone and said to leave a number and I should get a call back. That never happened until about 4 hours later at 430
Don’t have a problem with the golf course just Golfnow’s terrible service
Give it a try if price is right
All around a good experience. Conditions were decent staff was super.
I’d love to play again. Any discount?
