Governor's Towne Club

We had a great round. This had more of a country club vibe, with the big club house, range balls stacked on the range, excellent warm-up and practice facilities, friendly staff, outdoor grill tent at the turn. And.. most importantly, pace of play was fast and groups were well spread out, which really makes a huge difference.

The staff, and this includes head pro must have been having a bad day!! “F-“ for friendliness and professionalism.

The goffy guy running the outside grill (which is the only way to order something to eat out there “ hand made my hamburger with cheese with his bare hands!!! No gloves!!! Even before Covid, that was unexceptable. Of course I didn’t purchase or eat it. I asked the head pro if he had any epoxy glue for a minor club repair, in which he replied “ I don’t walk around with glue in my pocket “. And never offered to help. I am sure these guys don’t always operate in this manor but it terrible taste in my mouth.

All holes are laid out away from other holes. Houses sit far of course. Play is faster than most courses. Not alot of trouble to get in but very beautiful scenery. I would refer this course to anyone.

Great facilities. Great course. 5 stars. Chandler in the pro shop was awesome.

This facility is 5 stars across the board! Every staff member was knowledgeable and gracious including the grounds crew. Course conditions were top notch from the fairways to the bunkers to the greens. Will absolutely be back!

I played my longest round to date, about 5 and a half hours. The 3 idiot groups in front of us clogged the entire course and had to have played a 6 hour round. The marshal didn’t do enough to fix it.
