An absolute gem. Pace was a touch slow, but didn't mind, gave us time to really take in this amazing course. We'll be back again, for sure.

The course played great in November. Disappointed as I paid for my playing partner and then he was subsequently charged upon arrival as well. Would not think software/staff could allow that to happen.

Course was great but some of the greens needed a lot of repair. Staff was awesome and friendly

Member for a day was another awesome experience at this course. Golf range ,chipping area and putting green.

were all included and great way to warm up before playing. Course was in excellent shape for November!!

First time playing here. Course was in great shape. I really enjoyed the layout. Fairways are open And the greens rolled true.

Greens need to be tended and kept up a little better but the course as a whole is tremendous!

Fungus filled greens and poorly marked course. Need a laser to play otherwise you will be completely in the dark, especially on the back nine. No transparency about need for yardage finder when making the tee time, so my experience was significantly tarnished. That said, the layout is beautiful. Not worth the money though

This is a new favorite of mine. Always in great shape and super layout. Staff is nice!

Course is in great shape, however they started no member on the back nine and members on the front nine. And the pace of play was very slow. A starter is needed

Course in good shape-couple of bunkers need improvement-greens coming back but slow,probably from leaving on long side for recuperation-Bkue tees on one side were moved way up but course is forgiving enough to play gold w/out too much penalty-Will definitely be back and may even join-

Blue tees too close after some tee box work. Par 5s playing way to short for par 72. Should make at least 2 of them par 4s If blue tees so far up(just 5 yards behind whites). Beautiful course well kept. Best 65$ course In town

Governors Towne Club always takes great care of their guests, and the course is in great condition too.

The greens are this course only short fall. From the time I pulled in until I left the staff was great. The course is beautiful and well laid out. The practice facility is great. I was not to fond that they put the none members away from the members. I also thought it strange that they do not have a yardages book or course map for free or for sale. The starter was warm and friendly. It was a difficult round to say. Hard to know where to hit your ball when you have no yardage or map to look at. The fairways are well cared for. Bunkers for the most part were raked and dry. But the green are a whole other story. I don’t know if they are fighting a fungus or parasite. But the greens are in poor shape. I also think that they need better and more signs to point you to the next hole. I really did enjoy my round. But I have played better courses for this price point. I do believe that this course can get back to its former glory. The greens are the main drawback.

This was the second time i played this course in the past two weeks. Both times we started on #10 (members go off #1). And both times, the greens on the back nine were not mowed. As such, they were essentially un puttable - very long and very wet with dew. For cost of green fees ($95 on Fridays), all the greens should be cut.

Thus GTC gets a poor rating on value. If you are planning on playing, suggest you get assurances that all the greens will be cut. Buyer beware.
