About
Situated along Florida's Gulf Coast, Riverside Golf Club in Ruskin is part of a peaceful retirement community. At just over 6,100 yards from the tips, the golf course is on the short side but it still offers an enjoyable round. From the back tees, the course actually presents quite a formidable test. The layout meanders along a creek before wandering across idyllic farmland and finishing along the river bluffs overlooking Hayes Bayou. The diverse terrain provides an array of scenery as well as a variety of different challenges. Water hazards come into play on several holes and there are several strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides, waiting to swallow errant shots. Riverside Golf Club's layout combines more difficult holes with player-friendly features, which makes it approachable for players of any skill level.

Golfer Reviews
Greens are Beautiful
The greens are in great shape and the fairways are coming in nicely. I thought the new teeboxes made for a really long par 4. May need to rerate the slope.
Our Day at Riverside Golf
We had a problem getting the front gate to open. Then when we got to the clubhouse we had to pay in cash because their systems were down. Pace of play was slow but we finish in under par time. Lots of work has been done on this course from when we played last year. We appreciated the improvements. We will play again.
Great afternoon
I was very pleasantly surprised with the condition of the course. The greens are very healthy, not quick, but very true. The sand traps are the best I’ve played in this area. The course is well looked after. Not a course for bombers that are concerned about windows though.
I’ll be back for sure.

Improving Conditions
They are doing a lot of work on the course and it is in the best shape in the last year. My wife and I enjoy playing at Riverside and find it to be a good value.
Like to give these guys a big thumbs up, from last year to this year its been night and day. With the new irrigation system and the new pathways cant wait for the finish product.

Riverside
Nice course!
Staff very polite and helpful.
Course was in very good condition!
Will definitely play here again!
Great practice course.
The course is not in any type of a decent shape. The greens are its saving grace, although they are plush and a beautiful deep green, they are as slow as molasses on a cold day.
The fairways are bare and should be on a goat farm, not on a golf course.
The only reason I recommend the course to be played on is that the course is a challenge for all and it's no push over at 6200 yards from the tips.
So yes I will be back to play, they have new carts, plus a new irrigation system, so come next year the course will improve immensely.
Hi, thank you for reviewing the course. Let us first start by apologizing for the poor experience you had during your visit. Your feedback about the course is important to us. We are working to get everything up to par. We have projects ongoing to recover the fairways and greens. The current condition is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. We are going to escalate your feedback to our team so we can make improvements before your next game, and we will continue to work towards an excellent experience by using your comment for guidance. Thank you for playing Riverside Golf Course. We hope to see you again soon.
Very nice course
The course was in good condition. The fairways are flat and smooth. Your drives can get some roll out. There are minimal trees but there is lots of water. The majority of the fairways are lined with houses, if suffer from a slice or hook on your drives, this might not be the course for you. The greens were in good shape. Overall a good course and a good value when on sale on golf pass.
