About
Situated along Florida's Gulf Coast, Riverside Golf Club in Ruskin is part of a peaceful retirement community. At just over 6,100 yards from the tips, the golf course is on the short side but it still offers an enjoyable round. From the back tees, the course actually presents quite a formidable test. The layout meanders along a creek before wandering across idyllic farmland and finishing along the river bluffs overlooking Hayes Bayou. The diverse terrain provides an array of scenery as well as a variety of different challenges. Water hazards come into play on several holes and there are several strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides, waiting to swallow errant shots. Riverside Golf Club's layout combines more difficult holes with player-friendly features, which makes it approachable for players of any skill level.

It is what they do not tell you
ONLY upon arrival was it mentioned that two holes were "closed". Signs to direct you were small and were turned by the breeze such that it was easy to get lost driving around the two closed holes.

Friday fun
3 hour round. Course in good condition. Completed Irrigation project definitely helped this course. Cold happy hour beer at the clubhouse after. Good times.
Course is in pretty good shape, greens are nice, couple rough fairways
Better with Time
The renovations are on going, the watering system is in place. This course will only be get better with more summer rains and continues course management.
The layout is fun and challenging depending on your tee. I play the whites.
Patience my fellow golfers, time is going to improve this course and their prices are good.
Fun Short Course
Greens were well maintained. Some fairways are really good and some need a lot of work. Overall very playable course, not to challenging, but challenging enough. Survived all the rain very well. No one else on the course to run into or get hit from behind. Very enjoyable round.
Nice course and Many great improvements happening
This course has been improving drastically. I see the dedication and money being put into making improvements to this course. Its looking great. Cant wait to Play in 2-3 moths when things will be 100%. I'll be playing her more often with friends. Nice Bar & Grill with beautiful view of the Marina & Manatee River. A beautiful community as well.
Challenge
Every time we play this course it's always a challenge lots of fun the staff of the course is very courteous and the greens are well maintained
Give this course some summer rains and bingo
The staff and grounds folks are doing a great job to bring the course back to life. The new watering system is in place, the fairway are starting to fill in. The greens have always been good. With all the rains we are having this course should fill out nicely. Have some patience and enjoy the layout.

Not bad
Greens are in pretty good shape. Fairways are open and forgiving for the most part. They were redoing some of the irrigation system so some of the fairways were a little rough but nothing major. Overall I would recommend. Fun course. If you hit it long play the blues.
