About
Situated along Florida's Gulf Coast, Riverside Golf Club in Ruskin is part of a peaceful retirement community. At just over 6,100 yards from the tips, the golf course is on the short side but it still offers an enjoyable round. From the back tees, the course actually presents quite a formidable test. The layout meanders along a creek before wandering across idyllic farmland and finishing along the river bluffs overlooking Hayes Bayou. The diverse terrain provides an array of scenery as well as a variety of different challenges. Water hazards come into play on several holes and there are several strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides, waiting to swallow errant shots. Riverside Golf Club's layout combines more difficult holes with player-friendly features, which makes it approachable for players of any skill level.

Nice course, Nice Greens
Course is in a manufactured home subdivision. There is alot of room however. A very nice course with very nice smooth and fast green. Highly recommend.
Hidden Gem
Challenging course to play during the week. Conditions were decent. Bring your snacks because there’s nothing on the course as far as food / drink goes. No cart person either. Overall, a nice course
Conditions
We use this cost quite a bit. It’s very reasonable and the conditions are excellent for the price. The staff is super friendly would definitely recommend this cost anyone in the area.
55 and older community
This course is in a 55 and older community. I did not see that anywhere when I booked. When I went there the gate to the parking lot was blocked off and they appeared to be closed. Still trying to get my money back…
Great round
Course was in excellent condition. Despite the fact that they didn’t have any clubhouse amenities, they should at least have a beer cart person coming around. There was absolutely no water anywhere on the course. We should have been warned ahead of time that we needed to take beverages with us. Pay a play was not too bad considering that the course was very busy. All in all it was a decent round.
Good round
This place was packed. No water or amenities on the course. It would have been nice to have known that I needed to bring beverages with me. The clubhouse doesn’t even offer beverages. Pace of play was a bit slow. The Ranger was out there, but didn’t seem to be moving people along. This is a really nice course just needs either a cart person or the clubhouse needs to have amenities available. I do enjoy playing here and will be back.
Rude. Unfriendly. Dishonest.
To preface, I rarely leave reviews and have played 30+ courses in the past year. My experience at Riverside was unfortunately the worst and I wasn’t able to even play. I made a tee time on GN for two people. The day prior I called ahead to make sure, before we drove 45 min, that I could bring my mom and fiancé to ride along in the cart. I was told that wouldn’t be an issues and they’d see me tomorrow. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a sign that said “cash only,” followed by being told they no longer could ride and they didn’t know what to tell me. The staff member was rude during the entire interaction and it felt like he could care less we weren’t able to play.

Hidden gem
Great place to play at reasonable rates. Staff are always super friendly and the course offers a good challenge. Played here a number of times the last few weeks. The greens are good and the fairways and tees are good. Will be back again. Lovely views over the river from the decking at the clubhouse bar. Great way to finish off the day with some food and a drink with great views.
