About
Situated along Florida's Gulf Coast, Riverside Golf Club in Ruskin is part of a peaceful retirement community. At just over 6,100 yards from the tips, the golf course is on the short side but it still offers an enjoyable round. From the back tees, the course actually presents quite a formidable test. The layout meanders along a creek before wandering across idyllic farmland and finishing along the river bluffs overlooking Hayes Bayou. The diverse terrain provides an array of scenery as well as a variety of different challenges. Water hazards come into play on several holes and there are several strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides, waiting to swallow errant shots. Riverside Golf Club's layout combines more difficult holes with player-friendly features, which makes it approachable for players of any skill level.

Nice Fun Place
This was a nice course to play at, I played horrible, but that was all on me. It is narrow, so bring your A game to pipe them down the middle.
Punched greens
I'm not a fan of punched greens and Riverside's greens are punched with very little to no sand dressing.
Of course there is no notification of this. So as for now and maybe the next 3-4 weeks my suggestion is for you to play elsewhere, I will.

Good course for the money
We had a good day for our two-some the temperature was 94° so we only made it through 15 holes and it was time to quit but still a very enjoyable day.
would buy a white shirt, they were all dirty and looked like used
restrooms and office look dirty
Review about course
Would play again! Staff 10/10. Course in great shape. Greens were a little fast. No water stations so bring water but they do have ice and water at clubhouse before you tee off.
Need to hit it straight!
Need to hit it straight. Many of the holes weave their way through a trailer park community except for a few on the back nine. Course was in pretty good shape considering the lack of rain in this area. No bare spots on greens. Pace of play was excellent because there wasn't anyone on the course during the middle of the day.

After 3 holes heavy down poor,,
I called Golf now , explained the situation. The person called riverside golf club and confirmed my issue
He credited the amount I paid on golf now right away

Fairways Recently Plugged
Riverside is usually in good shape and reasonably priced. We happened to catch it on a day just after they had plugged the fairways so conditions were not up to normal. On top of that the recent drought has left the greens and fairways hard and dry. The regulars must have known of these current conditions as course was empty (we played as a threesome in just over three hours). Once this area starts getting rain again this course should be back to it’s normally good conditions. Sherm (inside) and Danny (marshal) were friendly and accommodating. Hope to return soon and can recommend this courses.
