Riverside Golf Course

This course has a lot of potential however the fairways as well as the greens were quite damaged Unfortunately it appears that repairs for improvements the conditions are not part of the equation.

Found a deal on golf now.Went to check it out. Course rated 3 (fair), it was not. Most greens were very poor, which what was the same for the fairways. Got there a little early to check in. They told us to go to hole #1 and check in with the starter. We did. She said the other twosome from Golf now was not there yet, and we had to wait for them. We did not sign up to play a foursome. After the group ahead of us left there was there was no one else waiting. It is now our time to tee off. Other twosome still not there. Reluctantly she let us go. We followed the group ahead the first 7 holes until our starter asked us were our other twosome was. She made us wait there until they caught up. Waited about 10-12 minutes , they finally arrived. We never followed the group if front again,. Our other twosome hit very long shots every where except the fairways. Now instead of following the group ahead, we were pushed from the groups behind. After hole 14 we had enough of Riverside. Never before had I been told your playing too fast.

Course is very rough with little grass in areas around greens. Greens were ok so it is worth the hot deals price. Everyone was very friendly.

Fairways were rough, very dry, needs watered.

Some of the greens were rough, others were fine.

The Ranger was very pleasant, but no beer carts.

The clubhouse was closed, would have been nice to relax with a cold drink or a bite to eat. Finished around 4:30. Headed to the Sunset Grille.

Overall, was a nice round on a beautiful sunny Florida day.

I enjoy playing here. It has some cool holes but hitting of hardpan you need to adjust your swing.

The golf course has been neglected. It has a great layout but, the condition was poor.

Haven't played this course in over 10 years... wow, what a change. Nice course, nice amenities, too.
A really nice community... my wife and I were paired up with a couple of members. We have a great afternoon. Their restaurant is right on the river... good food, drinks, and service. We Riverside was a great value.

We played after heavy rain, but didn't impact this review. Several fairways sparse on grass. Lot of sandy lies. Several greens had bare spots. Greens putted slow, but that was ok. Staff was friendly, no issues there. Course is currently over-rated. If you don't play ball where it lies and willing to move to turf, might be ok to play there; especially if you find a reduced rate.

Okay so first off, I recommend the course only if you can play it for $15 or less. Check the website before trying to find the course, we had a difficult time.
The course layout is great for a short course, quite a bit of water and a lot of houses. The back nine seems to be under development. The fairways and rough are pretty bad as well as a few greens. The back nine starts away from the clubhouse so be prepared if you are thirsty as there was no cart girl the day we played. Staff friendliness must be a thing of the past because it is not like it use to be and this alone will make me take my hard earned money elsewhere.
Overall I enjoyed the course but won't go back anytime soon.

Course in good shape, hazards make it challenging. No rangers around to keep players pace.

A fairly tough course. A lot of water. You must hit it very straight ball !

Play was somewhat slow the back nine. 4 elder golfers were not keeping pace & they never replaced flag properly. The course was in as good of shape as I've seen it over the past 5 years. Facilities were clean. The entry gate was a problem as when we called pro shop no one answered the phone to open gate- and we were told to leave a message, like that won't open the gate folks. Finally a resident punched his own code in to let us & the 4 backed up cars in!

Course was in good shape, nice challenge, good course for the money

Interesting layout, very friendly staffs, green is a bit too slow and windy.

many of the fairways have no grass, the greens had been overseeded and not smooth

course was in terrible shape. only the greens were green but they were slow and inconsistent. My GPS could not find the course and I had to find someone who knew where it was. In hindsight, I wish I never found it.
