Liking Pine Lakes GC
Course has quite a few quick dog-legs which took driver out of my hand more than I’d like. Fairway grass was sparse and tight (better hope you don’t have to flop one over a bunker!). Tees, greens, bunkers were in good shape. A fun, tough, somewhat tricky track.
I give it a strong 4 out of 5.
A little hardpan condition but all in all not a bad course.
I would play again.
we did have a guy walk on around 6 from a house and played in front of us for 4 holes, held us up a little.. And we finished in 31/2 hours
Some improvement
The greens are now first class and being well maintained. Tee boxes are sub-par. Limited grass in the fairways and less in the rough. Both need aerating and reseeding; It is mostly like hitting off hardpan.
Great option
Course is in much better shape than the reviews want you to believe! The greens are fine for this time of year.
Starting 2021
Course was in pretty good shape for the time of year. Greens we're kinda quick from above the hole. Nice course to start the new year. Had an enjoyable round.
Course needs some work.
Course was just ok. Needs more work to get in shape. Better off playing at some other course that are in better shape for the same money.
Pine Lakes Revisited
Have played here since it opened in 1980 numerous times. I like the course design but overall the course needs some maintenance upkeep. Greens are spotty and bare in some places. Tee boxes need re-seeding. It is December but probably better when spring arrives.
For some reason when you do the on line reservations through Golf Now, the staff treats you very rudely when checking, I have played this course many times and there is a noticeable difference between how you are treated with regular tee time reservations verses a Golf Now reservation.
Maybe they should consider discontinuing the offering of Golf Now tee times.
This course is interesting
I liked the design of the course. I found it challenging.
Really enjoy it.
