WindRiver Golf Course

Course was in good condition, greens were a little faster than normal for this time of year which was very nice. Pace of play was a little slow but should be expected at a long course like this.

very good course for having a challenging round of golf, club house could be bigger with more golf items for shopping .

My favorite course in the area. West of downtown Knoxville TN about 20-30 min. Just far enough out of town to keep amount of play down. A challenging course that lays well though the hills and seems to drain better than most in the area. The clubhouse is a temporary building but the staff is friendly and the attitude is casual. No restaurant facilities but when the weather is nice, they usually have a grill going out back and you can buy cold sandwiches and beer.
When it warms up, this course is gorgeous.

Love playing this course I can't seem to keep it in the 70s here.

First of all the staff was great and the course was in very good condition. Front nine was fair, back nine was something else. It is long (we were hitting consistently 160-180 yds into greens. It seems you never get a flat lie, and you never, never get a straight putt to the hole. If you miss the greens, quite often severe uphill or side hill lies that were difficult to even chip from. Sooooo... if you are not in total control of your game, you shouldn't play here. Probably at least 6-8 strokes harder than your regular course. I don't think we will play it again. It is a beautiful course and setting though with breath taking views

This course is a challenging course, especially the greens. It's hard to find a straight putt from any distance. The course is well-maintained, and they have added some nice water features since the last time I played there earlier this year. This is not a walkable course due to the length and topography, but I will definitely be back!

My Dad and two others played on a Saturday afternoon and had a great time! The course offers everyone challenges and opportunities. The guys working the pro-shop were friendly and helpful. We will be back. Only a 45 minute drive from Broadway in Knoxville.

This is not a course for the shy of heart......most greens have three levels and what a challenge to putt. Did I mention they are fast? This is a super nice course, the kind you would expect to be private and cost much more. This course is un-walkable, you would need hiking gear with the elevation changes. Recommend you try this one out, just be prepared for it to take some time. Very picturesque as well......

Green were still slightly bumpy from aeration but everything else was great. But they ran out of hot dogs!

Have played here many times. It is one of my favorites. Best Play for the money. It is very hard to find a better course in East Tennessee for this price.

Everything about the course and the property was a great experience. If you like a challenge this is a wonderful place to test yourself.

The recently aerated greens were receptive to shots but rolled quite well.

One of three favorite courses in Tennessee and with the prices being low this is quickly becoming my home course of choice.

A young course w fast undulating greens especially downgrain & downhill. Lots of elevation changes from tee to green. This course is not for a beginner but if u enjoy a challenging fair course this is it. Highly recommend this course. Anxious to see if it lives up to the potential once it matures.

The course is fantastic and challenging, especially from the back set of tees. If a seasonal golfer wants to test their abilities you can find it here.

The course is in really good shape, played from the blues, might as well been the tips which really streches out the course but make it a good challenge to the more advanced golfers. Greens are in really good shape.

Saying this course is "challenging" is an understatement!
* The fairways were narrow and long, but fair.
* The course is really hilly and requires accurate shots or you'll be in trouble on almost every hole.
* The multi-tiered, undulating greens were in superb condition, which is unlike any public course in the area.
* Many of the fairways and greens have strategically placed sand bunkers that will make you pay if you hit a less than perfect shot.
* The course offers incredible views of the mountains and Tellico Lake.
* The staff was friendly.

Very well maintain nice and fast greens great views

Wind River was aerating two of their holes during our play but we were able to play around the work. The course is challenging and enjoyable. The views of Tellico Lake and the surrounding area are great. We did not feel rushed and really enjoyed the outing. The rating would probably be excellent if the work wasn't being done on the course. I'm glad to see they are taking good care of the facility.
