WindRiver Golf Course

Course is tough but fair. Beautiful layout with lot of challenging elevation changes. Our round took a long time even though we had no other golfers to contend with due to soft conditions with carts on path only. It got very tiring walking back and forth from ball to cart with all of the hills. With that said, I would play it again, just with better weather conditions.

course was in fairly good shape for the time of year it is.

course was in immaculate cond.; greens very slick & fast; breathtaking views of Tellico Lake & the surrounding countryside! Lots of nice improvements going on, i played there last summer when it was still called Rarity Pointe -- doing lots of nice things to improve the landscaping. 65 degree day in late Nov. didnt hurt a thing either!

I really enjoyed this course, and would very much like to play it again at a time when it wasn't so crowded. The staff was extremely nice, working me in when I was a little bit late. I thought the course was in great condition, and a very appropriate difficulty for me.

I have played this course twice now and enjoyed the layout and the condition both times. The pace of play differed dramatically between the two rounds, however. The first round was played as a single on a weekday afternoon and was completed in a little over three hours. The second time out was in a pair on a Friday afternoon and took over five hours. Overall, the relief changes, large, undulating greens, and length from the tee make for an enjoyable round regardless of the pace.

Excellent conditioned course, beautiful landscaping, lake and mountain views, driving range, and a concrete cart path. Plan to spend some time on this course because it is challenging and long, however, isn't that what it is all about? Getting away to relax and enjoy a game of golf? You will find none better than to get away from it all at Wind River Golf Course. The only down side is a modular-type club house in a multi-million dollar home setting.

Cost makes it worth your time to play

This a tough challenge with many different hole layouts. Greens provide a tough challenge if you play this course infrequently.

The tee boxes and fairways were in great shape, there were some areas in the fairway that were very wet. Greens were in
bad shape due to recent aerification and were difficult to putt because of undulations, but held approach shots well. Overall a very nice place to play.

They had some issues the first day I played and I could not get out on the back nine. They gave me a raincheck that I used 3 days later and everything was just great...!!!

Long distances between holes. Would be a hard course to walk.
Very well kept, and a good course for all skill levels.
Wide open spaces, easy to follow course layout.

Resort type course with some of the most intresting holes. A little too diffacult for my high handycap but I would play it again and maybe with the additional course knowledge, do better. Greens and fairways were superb.

WIND RIVER is the best golf course i've played in the knoxville area. I'ts a very scenic and challanging but if you play it from the proper tee box you will have a very enjoyable round. I am so impressed with the staff there. The course is allways in prestene condition. I would recomend this Golf Course to anybody and to all level of player.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
