Renditions Golf Course
About
Renditions Golf Course is a unique layout that features replicas of holes from U.S. Open or PGA Championship venues. Given each hole is modeled after holes from around the world, the course offers plenty of variety ranging from parkland to links. Holes six through nine are replicas of Augusta National's famous Amen Corner. Like their inspiration, Renditions' versions are a formidable test. The golf course offers a round unlike any other. Nowhere else would you be able to get a taste of golf's most well known courses all in one place. After several hundred trees were added to the landscape, which was formerly the site of a sand mining operation, it was completely transformed into the perfect setting for golf, enhanced even further by the Patuxent River that flows nearby.

Nice Course
The course was not in bad shape. Greens were just aerated so it was a little bumpy.
Fun time to pretend you are a pro!
I liked the idea that the course was modeled after famous holes! The info on the course helped you visualize the real thing. The greens were aerated and some of the course was not in great shape but fun was had by all! The food was better than average and the staff very friendly. Pace of play was fine! We will be back.
Aeration Frustration
The course was in great shape - considering last week's deluges. But..... we would never have booked tee times here had we known that the greens had been recently aerated. Frustrating and di$apointing - highly recommended when the greens are playable - but stay home and putt in your basement otherwise
Aerated Greens, Slow Play
I love this course, but slow play is a problem on weekend afternoons. Greens had been aerated recently, and while filled with sand, were still quite bumpy (& slow). Finally, for the fees they charge, range balls should really be included. We will return, but not for a while.
Bad Policy
Need to get this off my chest. We have golf group that of about 30 members that travels in the DC area each week and plays course all over the region. Last weekend we played Renditions. We had around four full groups and three golfers in the fifth. So it was a standard outing for us. When I got there one of the staff (who was pleasant and cordial like at most golf course pro shop. ) greeted me when I stepped up. I handed over the credit card. He took my card and asked if I wanted a warm up bucket. I said sure just a small one he punched the keys and came back with" That'll be $94 total." (which is WAY TOO HIGH) . I got a little sticker shock, but, rationalized to myself that this is price I pay to hang out with and shoot the breeze with the good guys in our group. It was then that I proceeded to ask the obligatory question? "What shape is the course is in?" Just as I heard the beep of the credit card confirmation. The gentleman says "Well we aerated the greens this past Monday and they are in the kind of shape you'd expect after five days of growth." That is when the record scratches and all the music stopped for me. "Wait a minute you just aerated the greens and you are charging me full price?" What? Yeah well we are handing out a 2 for 1 special to everybody who plays today." And that is supposed to make me feel better? You are "giving" me a coupon that will have me to drive all way back out to your course just so that I pay you guys again for a course that is already overrated and over priced. If you can afford to let someone have a 2 for 1 day? Why not just have an aeration price and call it all good. Because truth be told I'm paying full price for substandard playing conditions and where is the justice in that situation? Made no sense to me then and makes no sense as I write this review. The greens were TERRIBLE in my opinion (IMO) and there was sand everywhere. They didn't roll true and were a pain ALL day. It really took a lot of enjoyment out of the round. I'm not a negative person, but, this is just and unexceptionable policy on the part of the management and ownership. Its just wrong an should not be encouraged. The course as I said is WAY OVER PRICED. This is a $50 - $60 course and should in no way be considered upscale. It is average and that's it. I get the whole replica hole thing and I credit them for taking it on, its just not worth it. There are better maintained public courses in the area that have more bang for the buck. I will not be going back to use their 2 for 1 coupon (which expires in 30 days which is kind of a back handed marketing tool) and let's face it really just another way to get additional $$ out of the golfer to secure more revenue for course. Which IMO would not be needed if they just did the honorable thing in just having slight price reduction to make the customer feel at least like they get it. They staff around the course were nice and courteous and the food at the 19th hole was pretty good. In the end I just will not support any course that makes earning a few extra $$ over the experience of the golfer when maintenance affects such a large portion of the course. I'm going to recommend to our group that we never return to Renditions to play there. Judging from the talk with the guys after the round I will probably have some support.
pleasent surprise
What a great experience! A course with famous signature hole replicas from all over the world and in pristine condition. Amen corner was like being transported to Augusta! #WOW
Beautiful course. Well maintained
All I can say is WOW. Course layout as expected was great (hello, replicas of major venues).
Great course!
Played on Masters weekend and I was treated like we were at a Major Championship. Staff was great and the pace of play on a beautiful day was great. All of the replica holes are tough and impressive. Course conditions were phenomenal for early April and after a harsh winter.
Renditions Day
had a beautiful day and a good round.
The Greens and fairways still had some debris on there, which made for some upset. no ball cleaning posts were set up.
no military specials were offered.
Hands down one of the best in the DC area
The course was in immaculate shape, a bold observation given the winter weather over the past few months. Personally my favorite course, although can be very challenging. But since the course replicates many of the toughest courses around the world, it's to be expected. Staff is especially helpful and capitalize on a good outing. Pace of play is a little longer than what you're used to, but if you wanted a less gratifying round of golf, you'd be at your local muni. Knowing that up front, and planning for a longer round allows you to fully enjoy a round of golf.
Great course
Had a great time! But the hotdogs were less than average. Course was in fantastic shape but we had a cart path only day.
great place
Fun, challenging and exciting. Would definitely recommend
Great layout. It was a little beat up from an outing that played just in front of us.
Challenging layout with 18 holes mimicking some of the best holes in golf. I particularly enjoyed their replica of amen corner from the masters. Staff was very friendly and there are good discounts available to play the course. Definitely worth checking out.
Excellent course
It was first time and really enjoied a round even tough the eather was not that great. Well maintained and super frendlly staffs.
Still in great shape
Played this course in late November and the course was in great shape. The course would be better if people would take the time to repair their fairway divots and green ball marks. This is a great course to play. I like the price....unfortunately it was a little colder than I would have liked. Will play again!
Excellent condition
Played 11 Nov 2013. Excellent conditions for this time of year. Have played the course numerous times and pace can be a little slow since many players seem seem to be at the course for the first time or only played it a couple of times previously.
This course is great
If you the opportunity to play this course do it. Playing holes you see the pros play and having the chance to do it yourself is a lot of fun to see how you compare.
Too Crowded
This is a course for those who watch a lot of golf on TV. If you'd rather play than watch, find another course. I showed up early for my tee time so I could warm up on the range. Halfway through my small bucket, I got asked to join a pair that was at the tee box right now. Obviously the course was in a hurry to get us moving but I don't know why. We spent 10 minutes on each tee waiting for the group in front of us, which was waiting on the group in front of them and so on up the chain. By the time we got to 16 it was getting too dark to play so I called it a day. Good thing, as I passed 17 and 18 on the way in, groups were stacked 3 deep at the tees.
nice course; good pace of play
This course maintains a reasonable pace of play so one doesn't have to spend a lot of time waiting at tee boxes. The course is well maintained and the staff are top notch.
challenging layout
Good experience, yet felt like forced history: For example, the yardage book repeated each hole's historical significance rather than provide playing advice. At $8.00, the yardage book was also pricey, not a good value where one expected an insider's notes on scoring par or better. The greens were challenging and made more so because golfers are not repairing ball marks. Bunkers are nice, but many if not most are full of large- to small-size gravel rocks. So, avoid the gravel pits!
