Bent Tree Country Club

I live near this course so it's very convenient. Their greens are best I've seen in 5+ years and their fairways are improving even though still very thin. Pace of play is always an issue because of the low price but in the Sarasota area, in my opinion, you cannot beat the value for the price.

Course was in decent shape given the lack of rain. Lack of a driving range really detracts from overall value.

By far the worst course in Sarasota I have played. Literally driving range tee mat on tee box. More dirt than grass. Surprisingly the greens were in great shape. It was getting there that was the problem. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time or money playing at this course. Also no GPS in the car paths were like monster trucks had driven through them. I asked for a refund from GolfNow because I only played four holes and left.

We were pleasantly surprised with the course conditions in comparison to some of the other courses we played recently

Fairways were good overall with few bare spots amd greens were excellent and fast

Staff were friendly especially the starter who let out early as a twosome therefore no waiting and we could play at our own pace. We finished in 4 hours

Only negative would be the sand traps which were wet and very hard making it difficult to play out of

Fortunately sand traps were mostly off to the sides

Overall my son and I enjoyed the day and will definitely play it again

I like the course and the staff are great. After 2 tee times they were calling me by name. We got stuck behind an awful 3some on this round that were terribly disrespectful of the players behind them. Chatting on the fairway and on the greens after they finished holes and not hitting their balls, knowing there were people on the tee box behind them. Don’t know if they were drunk or had Alzheimer’s. No Marshall in sight. Even the players behind us told us to hit into them to send them a message. I’m not comfortable playing that way though. I counted about 10 carts on the 2 holes behind us. Having said that, if you want to play a lot of golf when you are in the Sarasota area, there is no better value for your money than Bent Tree. Met some lovely people playing here. I’m going to Chaulk that up the 3some as a “1 of”. I would definitely play golf here next year.

Bent Tree has very good greens. They roll true at a fair speed. The rest of the course ( fairways & tees) are a mixed bag, some are very good and some are in need of TLC but generally the fairways are decent with only the men's tees needing TLC. The bunkers are consistent and fine. The pro shop is friendly and the course has coldwater stations strategically located on holes 2,, 8, 12 and 15. I always enjoy playing at Bent Tree. Pace of play for our 3-some was good at 3.5 hours..

The title says it all, Nice course, reasonable prices vs all the other courses that are

2-5x the cost. In no way are they twice as good!

Greens were ok but rest of course was dried out with dead spots.

Bunks were horrible

Pace of play SLOW. Bunkers need SAND.

Too many bare patches on fairways. Not nice when you’re on the fairway and on a dirt patch.

Had not played here since hurricane Ian. They have done a ton of work to create a good course and one of the best prices in area.. Course is fun and in great shape. T boxes fair, greens great, fairways good. All in all a really enjoyable day of golf. I’ve lived in Sarasota since 1952 and this course has had it’s ups and downs but right now it is a really great place to play!

Enjoyed the course. Moderately difficult, but very enjoyable to play. Only complaint is of the cart path. Much worked needed to upgrade and repair. Some of the fairways need some repair. Greens were in good shape. Again, enjoyed the course overall, but cart paths need some good repair.
