Bent Tree Country Club

We have golfed here for many years but I'm sad to say that the course conditions are getting worse. The greens were fine but the fairways were very thin...even bare in some spots. Some of the cart paths are in such bad condition that they are dangerous. And the course needs to buy some more golf carts. We weren't able to load our bags onto a cart until less than 5 minutes before our tee time. There were several trees that were down in the rough areas. They have been that way for a year or more. There are no course rangers and the cart girl made her last trip around at 1:30. This is a course that is simply not spending the money....and it shows.

Loved the challenges of the layout. Course was in great shape. Will definitely play here again when we come back to Florida.

Play is very slow at this course as we have played it several times. The course itself is fine and staff are good. This past Sunday we played behind a 6 some that sometimes was a 4 some but very annoying. Young men that had very little understanding of golf but were having a good time. No on course supervision that over playing 3 rounds (there) differently has some issues to manage better. If it was for the afternoon price, we wouldn’t play again. So I guess you get what you pay for….:)

Restaurant and bar are barely open. Cart girl charging $11 for a shot glass full of a mixed drink. Very expensive!

The greens were nice and pace of play good (~4 hours) but the range was three mats hitting into nets and the cart paths are in need of repair.

Great value! We played in under 4 hours. Course was in great shape!

The course layout was challenging, a number of great driving holes.

This season, I have played other course in the Sarasota area and in comparison, Bent Tree conditions were in pretty good shape.

The greens were in good condition; rolled true and the speed of the greens fair.

Although the par 3 tee boxes were showing stress, the rest of the tee boxes were in good shape. The fairways were also in good shape too.

The pace of play was challenging, a ranger on the course might have helped.

For $60 dollars it was a reasonable fee for this course, and the course conditions; anything more NO! I’ll return to Bent Tree for $60.

The problem with golf courses in the Sarasota area is they are unfairly gouging golfers with fees that do not correspond to conditions of the course. A real ripoff.
