Nice layout. Greens were good, fairways were hard and dry, tee boxes were a little rough. Still very playable and enjoyable. The island green was amazing.

Nice course

Course amenities have not changed since I last visited… no cart person today .It has the feel of a muni course serving the local golf community and the need for small restaurant with food and beverage service is probably not in demand. But…it would have been nice to chill with a beer and burger after…..

I liked the course as a casual stress free day of golf .

Lovely course for Canadians.

The course is dry because of long drought conditions, but the layout is gorgeous, trees are blooming. Staff is fabulous. If rain holds off, we are going back to use our rain checks.

Nice general course layout.

Greens were in great shape.

Fairways were dry & look tired.

Makani - Good Golf, Great Views

This is one one my favorite courses to play on the Big Island. The golf course is in fair to good condition with well keep greens. What I like most is the views you get and the layout of several holes with the par 3 17th being the signature hole. Definitely a course to play if you enjoy a good friendly round of golf

Fun Layout

Great layout with some very picturesque holes. A couple of quirky holes. Island green fun. Greens in very good shape but fairways very patchy. Very friendly local course.

Used to be one of our favorites

Unfortunately we did not enjoy our round as much as in the past. The rates have gone up and the condition of the fairways has gone down. Very dry baked out course. Needs irrigation! Looking forward to improvements next year.

Great staff, but a goat pasture

Course needed water. Greens were slow. Pace of play was horrible. Staff is excellent. Friendly and informative. Have been coming here to play (previously Big Island CC) 12+ years. But the course conditions were like a cow pasture. Will not return.
