Misty Creek Country Club

I really enjoyed this layout. This course is about to be closed for a major renovation and will reopen in October, 2025. With that the conditions were good but my playing partners indicated that it was usually in better shape.

Playing it for the first time, I was glad that I had a fellow competitor point out where to hit and assist with directions from green to tee.

The lady in the pro shop was very friendly and I found the bag drop guys to be the same. I would place this track again after renovations assuming that they don’t price themselves out of my budget.

Glad to have gotten to play before the course closes for a complete overhaul, and look forward to the new track in the fall

Don’t play here. It’s not worth $115. Our foursome had never played this course. There was no guidance and we had no idea where we were hitting on about 7 holes. No yardage markers, several bad tee boxes and a cranky ranger who pushed us with no one behind us. (We had to drive out to see where we were supposed to hit on several holes)They are closing the course for the summer to make repairs but I suspect that the fee will likely go way up when they reopen. We’re not going back.

I do love this coarse. A challenge on most holes. I didn’t have a distance reader with me, so it made judging the length to the green a problem. They had no markers on the coarse and no gps in the carts. It was fun to see lots of wildlife on the coarse.

5 hours + ridiculously slow group in front kept hitting multiple shots. No player assistant to be found

Excellent lay out and beautiful views throughout the round. We finished in 4 hours and 15 minutes. The greens rolled fast and true. The back nine had some tricky holes especially the par 3 15th and the 16th. You must hit your number. Can’t wait to play again.

The course was mostly well maintained but lacked good conditions around tees and greens as they have announced that fairways and greens will be completely removed and replaced starting in mid March. A very nice layout overall and hope to return to Sarasota in a couple of years to play the trnuilt course.

Played the course twice while staying on Lido key. Staff was very friendly and well organized. Course conditions were great. Layout was interesting but not too difficult. Holes were spread out and you're not hitting into other fairways. Some houses on a few holes but it’s not inside a neighborhood. Lots of nature to see - beautiful birds, deer, turtles and a few alligators. The views are great. While crowded pace of play was about 4 hours. They do monitor pace of play but we didn’t feel like the rangers were a problem. A bit pricey at $125ish but worth it in my opinion. I’ll definitely go back when I’m the area.

This course is a great layout with a few tighter holes that make it challenging. Water is present but only comes into play really on a few of the holes. Once they tear up the greens and fairways in a the scheduled total renovation this summer hopefully they will be able to cut the fairways shorter making the playing conditions better.

We hit up the clubhouse after for lunch service was fantastic but the quality of the food with a very limited menu was Mediocre at best. Hopefully with the renos and new management that might improve as well. But for this area this course is still a good deal and is a pleasant place to play a round.

Some of the routes from hole to hole need better directional signs. Mostly in the third to fifth hole. Some of the holes have hidden areas of trouble and with no maps, it is easy to get into trouble. I know the future holds promise with the work coming to the course.

Liked course. No houses. Fairways lined with Florida jungle

If you do not have your game one can lose some golf balls.
