Misty Creek Country Club

Course was cart path only back 9 due to rain previous day which was understandable. Tee boxes were pretty beat up. All the traps were like concrete. I get there was rain, but seemed like traps weren’t raked in a little while. Greens are coming along nicely. Hopefully it will be in really good shape soon.

We all like surprises when it’s a good thing but to get a surprise like punched and sanded greens is not the surprise I hoped for. There is no reason to get a surprise like this when GolfNow has a place for the course to make mention of it. I understand that they need to do this to the greens but please give me the option of playing at this course or not. Remember at this time of year the majority of the players are full time residents and we support the golf courses year round so common courtesy would be the right thing to do.

Other than the above mentioned the course was in good shape. Love the layout and the wildlife you see on various holes is a nice bonus.

So please head golf pro use the technology that is given to you and you will see more positive results from all golfers. Because nobody likes bad surprises

Nice course. Good conditions. Not crowded, even considering time of year and weather conditions. Tom (cart guy) & Austin (inside) friendly and accommodating. Will return soon.

The course has a very nice layout lots of tight fairways and doglegs, it was long and challenging. The tees, fairways, and rough were in good shape. Greens were plugged for the second time playing here this summer, but they offered 20$ off which was nice of them. Last time I played they weren't plugged and very fast and challenging. Staff was super nice, and they made sure we got out before 2, 4 somes so our 2 some could play faster we had a quick round. Range was in good condition, about average range/balls. Only thing I didn’t like was the lack of ice machines/ water vending around. They had two permanent bathrooms on the course, but unlike basically every other course around they didn’t have ice water vending machine at the bathrooms. Couple of warm water coolers in the feels like 113* wasn’t optimal. One water and ice machine at the pro shop.

I remember this course in its prime. Today, I feel they may have lost this course completely. Fairways and rough infested with crab grass. The layout has always been good, but the course is a mess. I understand new management has purchased course. I assume they will be ripping all grass out.

This course was established in 1985 it provides a challenging layout with nicely maintained smaller greens. Nearly all of the sand traps are well maintained too. We played the day after the course received a good ole fashion Florida rain dump in July and it was still in good shape. Most of the course is in wooded areas with nothing but Mother Nature. Well positioned water and bathroom areas throughout the course. The staff brings it all together with their helpful and friendly attitudes.

This was our first time playing at Misty Creek and we absolutely loved it! The course was in great shape considering we are out of season! It is pretty challenging but fun! It rained once we made it to hole nine so we decided to have lunch at the country club and bar. The wings and fajita chicken quesadillas were delicious! Staff was super friendly!!! An amazing part about the course is that it lies on a preserve, so you are literally in the woods with lots of wildlife! We saw hawks, gators, cranes, and some beeeeautiful deer (about 20) on the back nine. It was incredible! Greens were a bit fast but in good condiment none the less. We will most definitely return!

I’m an intermediate golfer so the course was really tough for me. I don’t care though. The course was so beautiful and peaceful I will be going back soon.

Misty creek is always in nice shape. Challenging layout.

I went and played with my wife. We had an 11:10am tee time and got there around 10:30am. Staff was super friendly. We were told we could go out as soon as we were ready. Hit some balls at the range and went out to play. There was a twosome behind us. We saw them first 2 holes and never saw them again. We breezed through the first 13 holes and finally caught up to a foursome on 14. We probably played the first 14 holes in 2 hrs and 20 minutes. Took about an hour to play the last 5 holes. Under 4 hour round is awesome. Course was in pretty good condition. Good tee boxes, plush fairways and greens were solid. They were punched, but already well into recovery. No issues putting. Very picturesque scenery too. Definitely go back.

Excellent country club course which is open to the public at attractive pricing during this exceptionally hot and dry midsummer weather pattern. Several fairways have spotty patches which should improve as the seasonal rains reappear. Greens were challenging and in decent shape. Layout is interesting and challenging, with several true doglegs. Head pro Jimmy and assistant pro Austin could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. Although this was my first time playing this course, I’ll certainly be back soon and can positively recommend Misty Creek C.C.

My favorite course when summer prices come around, a must play for any golf visitor to Sarasota

Solid course with lots of options for tees. In very good shape. Will play again.

They’ve let one go. Can see it had time spent on it a long while back when first built. But fairways and tees are crabgrass ridden. Not taken care of at all. Was tough to know where fairway ended and started. Greens were in poor shape. Very disappointing. Reviews were all over the map. If you’re a regular good golfer and enjoy good creative courses, don’t pick this. At least not until vastly improved. Price I guess reflects condition. Kinda. Played Rosedale today. Same price. Night and day difference. Highly recommend that course.

Very nice course with wide fairways. Greens were a bit slower than I prefer. We saw deer, raccoons, hawks and vultures throughout the course. On a few holes we had to chase deer away from tee boxes in order to comfortably hit The deer are obviously very used to humans as we had to get pretty close before they moved away. My rating for slow play was due to a youth event taking place that day and the group in front of us were (I’m guessing) 5 and 6 year olds along with parents and officials. They only played 9 holes but our front 9 took 2 hours and 40 minutes. It was very hot that day and not much shade near tee boxes. Back 9:went much quicker but by that time the heat had me worn out. Don’t let this review influence you. We just picked a bad day to play and I definitely play that course again.

I'll start by saying the course is in poor condition. Tees, fairways and parts of greens are infested with crabgrass. Bunkers with little or no sand. Top that off with the money grubbing attitude of management who scheduled tee times on top of a junior outing who were walking the course and you get a logjam of 4 or 5 groups per hole. Totally unforgivable not to have said something when checking in. You keep your cow pasture, I'll play elsewhere.

Greens were recently aerated and sanded and we were not advised of that upon making a tee time with Golf Now...This is Golf Now's fault for not properly posting course maintenance. The tee boxes and fairways were not in great shape...a lot of bare areas and the tee boxes were rough! The layout was very nice and the course setting was beautiful but the condition was disappointing.
