Awesome staff and well maintained course
I spontaneously booked a trip from Houston, making a reservation to play this course based on its reviews. Upon arriving, I discovered I reserved for the wrong day, but the staff was accommodating, allowing me to enjoy their well-maintained course. The greens and fairways were excellent, reflecting the staff's dedication to upkeep. The pace of play was impressive.
In addition, witnessing the youth in their first tee program added to the overall positive experience. I'll certainly book this course again when I'm in Austin.

Harvey Penick on a Friday mid morning
The course is really shaping up for spring. The fairways are lush and green. The greens are a little slow and fuzzy, but that’s to be expected when they’re try to grow them in slowly for the hot summer. The pace of play was excellent, no one in front or back of me. I walked with my pull cart 9- holes in 1hr 15 minutes. A vey nice day on the course.
Good for new golfers
Really friendly staff. Play at your own pace. My wife is a new golfer and she liked that she didn’t feel pushed and pressured. I am not new at the game. Course not in great shape but it wasn’t expensive so I was happy for my wife.
Good value
Decent layout, friendly staff and good value for the money. Little confusing the first time you play here with the Soccer Golf layout in parallel.
interesting course to say the least
If your use to a normal course, this isn't a good option in my opinion.
there are better options out there for the money.
Greens excellent
The fairways were good, and greens are the best I can remember. Speed was faster than usual there.

Not a real golf course
They had golfers walking and it slowed everyone in a cart down. I would not recommend a good golfer to go here.
Fair for what you're paying for
Staff- couldn't have been nicer, or more welcoming!
Groundspeople- they were present everywhere and you get the impression they are trying to invest in better conditions
Course layout- a little confusing but they try to post signage with what little they seem to have available to them. Not the most challenging but good enough for beginners and mediocre golfers for sure
Course conditions- all things considered, a fair amount of green out there, not alot of dead grass.
Golf cart- definitely seen better days (ripped off upholstery and holes that should be covered/repaired) but clean and had everything needed!

Great place to practice your irons
Fun course. Short holes. Lots of par 3s. A perfect place to practice your iron shots. Enjoyed it very much because it was a nice change of pace.

Typical Hot Deal at Harvey
Got called off of work for the day, and would you've guessed it. Hot Deal time at ole' Harvey P! Scooted over 10 minutes early. Staff member gave me a cart key and I was off to the races. Lost two balls, found 4. Greens were in nicer shape than my weekly trip over to Hancock.
