About
Located along the shores of Choctawhatchee Bay, Shalimar Pointe Golf Club enjoys a scenic, rolling landscape dotted with trees. This often-overlooked golf course has been considered one of the Emerald Coast's best-kept secrets but the word is beginning to get out. The course, due to its challenging but playable nature, has been used for U.S. Open qualifiers and it was host to the Emerald Coast Tour. The layout features immaculately manicured greens that are framed by strategic bunkering and water hazards on a number of holes. The golf course is challenging but fair with five sets of tees to accommodate players of all skill levels. The course is Shalimar Pointe's main attraction but it is complemented by extensive practice facilities including an expansive driving range, putting green and chipping green.

Fast greens… need to play course a few times to play greens..
Great greens
What a great day at Shalimar! Some issues with check-in but got sorted out. Great course layout and conditions were standard for time of year. Tees could use some levelling but the greens were the star of the show. Smooth, lots of slope and very quick....great for putting. Would love to play at peak. Nice bonus with range balls included with green fee.
Gem
Just a fun course and value for $. Greens are just a blast. Slopes and dips with excellent roll. So many cool approaches to the holes too. I would definitely add this to my list of courses to try in FWB/ Destin area. Staff was helpful and friendly. Good experience!

Challenging and fun
This course has one of the best layouts in the area. It's challenging and will test every golfers skills. The greens are fast and contoured, so your green approach placement is key to avoiding 3+ puts. Overall, the course was challenging but a very fun test of skills.
Poor conditions with fast greens
Played late afternoon with a great pace. Friendly clubhouse staff. Tees and fairways of Course is not in good condition. Greens are fast and in OK condition. If price is right it’s ok to play. I wouldn’t pay too much to play.
Average Conditions
Fairways and tees in poor to average condition but found course difficult to manage because of conditions.Greens were in good condition. We got a great deal on Golf Now so feel we got value for money but would not hurry back at full green fee rate.
New Years Eve round
I played the course in September 2024 and enjoyed very much. With all dormant now, it looked like the painting of the greens were a coverup to the rough spots. There is quite a bit of weed in the greens. Very grainy. I would recommend this course maybe in the spring or later but not right now for a 50.00 price.
Worse Couse Condition I Played all Year
Really a bad experience. Little grass on Fairways, tee boxes uneven, greens ridiculous. I won't be playing here for the rest of this Snowbird season.
