Cowan Creek Golf Course

This course was worth every extra mile driving to there in Georgetown. Beautiful layout, staff was friendly, start at 3pm and was done 6:50pm. Definitely going back.

The course was in good shape and the pace of play was great for a Saturday afternoon golf round. The place could use a beverage cart out there. Besides that I will definitely be playing this course again.

Finally got to bring my tourney decision makers out. Last3 weeks packed with other tournamentside. Course was in ok shape,fairways always hard. However the nock on all 3 courses at Sunset City is pace of play. It was not packed but waited on every shot. WHERE IS A MARSHALL!! We turned and it got worse,1 hour and 12 minutes to play 10-12.We quit decided to go in an show my guests the rest of the course via a drive buy and saw the issue. On 14 there was a 3 some and there was no one in front of them fo3 holes. Last time we give these courses a shot. My company has a huge golf community, hold 2-3 tournaments every couple months. I plan 2 a year and this disappointment and wasye of $$ ant time loses any chance i' d hold it there or recommend it on our social media. Austin s golf scene is getting ridiculous with pace of play.Course management has no concern for a good golf experience.

This is a nice course with plenty of challenge. Staff is always courteous and helpful. Right now I expected to have a much better coverage of grass on fairways and to see the greens in better shape. There has been good rain lately but there were many super dry places on the fairways and around the greens. Grass is patchy throughout with lots of bare dirt. It was better for me and those in my group to putt from up to 30 yards off the greens than try and get the ball up with a lofted club. Maybe in a few weeks it will be more playable. Just my opinion and that's what reviews are for.

We were booked as a threesome. Upon arrival we were paired with a fourth which we had expected. What we did not expect was a shotgun tournament had been booked and we were placed in the middle

of the pack starting as the second group on hole # 11.

Totally what we had not booked for. In the future it would be good if we were told up front what we would encounter. It makes me hesitate to book another round thru Golfnow

Nice weather and pace of play. Course was fairly dry and greens were in good shape.

I've played this course a couple times when in town to see my parents who live in Sun City. Course was in great shape, really fun layout. There are deer and wild turkeys throughout the course, get to see some wildlife. Staff is really friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the course great value.

Love this course! Great layout with a real variety of holes. Mixture of fairly easy holes with difficult ones. Challenges the golfer on risk/rewards shots . Will definitely play this course many more times.

Great fun coarse with enough challenge for various level of golfers. Great practice facilities and staff.

The staff is looking for opportunities to take shortcuts. If there is a fifteen minute sprinkle they shut the course down and close the range for the day. We had 15 minutes of rain and I called to shortly after to see if I could get some practice in since the sun was shining and it was 85 degrees and they said the range was now closed. I asked if the range would reopen since we have approximately 6 hours left of sunshine and the grumpy old man on the phone said "no". I asked why? "Too hard to pick up the balls"! Wow. For context, I called three courses in the nearby community and their practice facilities were all open!!

Except for the usual slower play (4.5-4.75 hrs.) because of the average age of the players, very nice course. Nice design with lightning fast greens!

Great course. It was such a great place to play. The locals are all very nice. We played on Rewards with Golf Now, but this course is certainly worth more than the fees we paid.

Greens were excellent! Everything was great.

I paid for the 4:00 tee time on Golf Now.Me and my golf buddy got there at 3:45 and were advised that the #1 hole was closed and we would be notified when we can tee off. Then the staff member advised me that the cart needed turned in by 6:00. I wish I would have been advised if these two things prior to booking here. We did enjoy a quick game of 9 holes.

A tee box for every level and extremely nice course. Went on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and pace of play was lethargic, but still the round was enjoyable even though we were unable to finish.
