Every day you golf is good
Lucky to get a dry day, but plenty of standing water. No fault of the course. Blame mother nature. Still a little too much standing sand on the greens, but should dissipate in a few more days. Nice atmosphere overall and enjoyed the day and the golf course.
After Good Rain Course In Good Condition
This course handles the Florida downpours well, usually the next day has no restrictions. The pace of play was fast as I was a single. 2 hours 15 minutes for a midday tee time.
Good at $10 less
The course is okay, the front nine we played (Oaks) was in moderately good shape. The greens were a little bushy and on the slow side compared to the practice greens. Most of the greens are VERY small... likely to gradually growing in over the years.
The back nine (Lakes) was a bit rough. Most of the tees playing from the back were all weeds- while the forward tees had lots of signs of play- sandy spots. Fairways are mostly weeds and intrusive grasses, not golf course grass.
Fun to get out and Play early and not have to wait at all, but at $34 plus tax.. I think we overpaid given the courses conditions.
After Good Rain Course In Good Condition
Love this course, Handles the rains well. Fairways good, greens good, tee boxes good. Pace was great.
I look forward to playing more this summer.
Course is great
I'm a regular golfer and the Sun City area. This is the best course conditions I have experience in the past few months with any course in the area. Kudos to the greens keepers and groundskeepers. Amazing greens well kept fairways absolutely great job today guys. At just over 3 hours by myself trailing a foursome I couldn't have asked for a better day.
The course was in impeccable shape
My first time in a few months back to sandpiper even though I live about 5-10 minutes away my home course is Cypress. But I must give the folks at sandpiper there kudos. The pace of play was amazing I was a single playing behind a foursome and barely had a short wait on most of the holes. Total round time was 3 hours 7 minutes. The greens were in great shape and were rolling true. Great job to the greenskeeper and the staff can't wait to play the next round

The course was in great shape and it was a nice challenge. I would definitely play here again.

Course was being aerated, therefore sand covered the greens and plugs all over the place. We were held up at almost every hole. It was hot and muggy and there was no water on the course. May try the course one more time when no improvements are being made.
The clubhouse person, CJ, was more than nice and the golf store looked lovely.
Super Slow Pace of Play/No Marshal
Very slow pace of play. No marshal on the course to keep pace playing at a decent speed...on the back nine there were SEVERAL TIMES where we had 2-3 foursomes backed up and NO MARSHAL. This has become the Norm at Sandpiper...it's affordable and close, but beginning to wonder if the convenience is worth the break of rhythm in pace of play
