The Hooch Golf Club sits along the Chattahoochee River in Duluth, sprawling across a scenic landscape covered with ponds and lakes. The course is an executive, par-61 layout that combines traditional features with modern challenges. Although there aren't any par 5s on the golf course there are a few holes that stretch to over 400 yards, which guarantees that you'll be using all the clubs in your bag. There is plenty of water throughout the golf course, including three holes that play right along the river. It might not be what you're looking for if you want something truly formidable, but for a short course it's a good challenge that provides excellent iron practice. Besides the golf course, The Hooch is also known for its 12-acre, lighted driving range. There are also putting and chipping greens with a deep-faced practice bunker.

I hate to see it go
I'm sure going to miss this place! 10 great years playing here
so sad
this is a little intown jewell, right on the river. been a godsend, but it has one more week then it's gone. staff are awesome, agronomy folks very, very hard working. so sad to see it go!
The course is closed
The property was sold and the course is closed. It was fun while it lasted.
Better than you think.
As a single handicap player and expecting courses to challenge me with acceptable conditions of fairways and greens, I was VERY impressed with Hooch Golf Club.
The greens are firm and the divots are harder and no wet which is great for the greens to keep in great condition. There are spotty yellow areas but the green rolls true. The greens were very wet due to the due and fall weather coming in, however, I was still happy to know the greens were hard, true to backspin, and I wasn't dealing with wet slushy greens. If management were able to reduce the wet dew in the morning, this course is in great great condition!
Pace of play for 18 holes was 2.5 hours! For a twosome, I played blue tees and the other gentlemen played white tees. Without a wait in front of us we crushed our pace of play! Super impressed.

Great Executive Course
This is a nice course to play when you are short on time.....about 2 1/2 hours to play 18 holes. Good conditions and friendly staff.
Just fun
This golf course is a lot of fun and a great place to work on your short game. Don’t come here looking for world class golf, it’s fun, that’s all. My wife and I are complete beginner golfers and really enjoy playing here due to how forgiving the course is. We usually get a full 18 in in just under 3 hours, and it’s normally wide open with no waiting and no one waiting on you. Unfortunately it may not be around much longer, so get in as much as you can before the end of the year. Also it has a driving range with both grass tees and turf tees.
Aerated Greens
Play here regularly. Greens are never all that great but to not let us know ahead of time they were being aerated was not good. I would have probably chosen a different course if I had know this condition of the greens.
Exactly what you need
Perfect place to practice or see where your game is at. I am a 15 handicap that plays a 4 handicap here. It's easy and an amazing confident booster.
Just airated, so greens were horrible. Overall course condition has declined over the past few years. Still a fun track, but needs some work.
Great for Iron work
Not a bad course for the price. Kinda hard to put with all the leaves on several greens in the late afternoon. I would suggest playing early for the clean greens. Overall: very satisfied, will try again

I’ve been playing at the hooch for about 5 years now. I love the environment and pace of the game. Great course!
