Great Little 18 hole course.

It was nice short 18 course. If maintained right, this course would be really nice to play a quick 18 on. for the golf now price i love it. But Not sure if I would pay more than $25 to play here. A couple of the tee position for the holes are questionable. But i had a good time playing there.

Steel Canyon tip

this course is a great value for the price. Remember to brush up on your short game for this course due to its short nature.

Bangin for Dollas

Honestly, $20 for 18 holes(mon-fri) on a course that has its challenges is in my opinion the best value in Atlanta area golf so far. Fairways require a semi-accurate drive on the par 4s and 5s in that you don't have that much space for recovery. That said, the undulating layout of the course provides its own challenges. I really like the extra short par 3s in that you're faced with trying to gap it up high and hope for a decent landing OR you can try and punch it just in front of the green for more accuracy; that is if you are good at putting backspin on the ball.

Great value for money

A great executive course to use your short clubs. A fair amount of water on the first nine but after that its plain sailing. Hole number eight use to be a very challenging hole but for the white tee players it has become boring. The discount obtained through Golfnow made it a great value for money outing. I will play there again. The tee boxes are full of spring weeds but they should die out as the temperatures increase.

Ranger

The course is a fun course to play, offers some degree of difficulty on some of the holes, but they really need a Ranger to patrol the course, to many delays waiting for others that do not understand Golf Etiquette and maintaining a pace.

Good Bang for the Buck

Aside from Geese droppings in the tee box, the course was in pretty good condition. Frankly, for the hot deal that I purchased it at, it's a quick 18 that is worth the value.

Fun Time

An executive course, so it plays quickly. Great deal of fun to play and an excellent value. Its built on a pretty small patch of property, so its a narrow course that makes you shoot straight or you'll wind up in trouble. I highly recommend this if you just need to get out and play a few holes to hone your skills. Will definitely be back.

Golf

My main issue with this place is pace of play. You have a lot of family and new golfers come here and all over the course. Go really early if you don't want a 5 hour round.

Steel canyon course

Great course, even at just a par 61.you can work all your clubs in the bag. Course will challenge you out the tee box on every hole. Staff super friendly, excellent pace during the week, you actually can take your time to set up on each stroke without worrying about playing slow.

Decent course for the price

This is not really a bad course to play. But it does depend on what you are expecting. Play time can get a little slow depending on the weather as a number of young players normally play.

Nice Green, That's About It

Parking is limited. When I first arrived it took ten minutes for me to find a parking spot while waiting for someone else to leave. The course was WAY overbooked. I had to wait at least five minutes at every hole before teeing off and there was usually a line behind me as well. The greens were in pretty good shape, although extremely fast! The fairways however leave a lot to be desired.

Great short game course

For 17.00 total, this was a great way to spend 3 hours. Especially for a beginner. The greens were in great shape (very few pitch marks) and although there was a lot of drainage on the course paths (rained previous night), I came away with no mud on the shoes and had a great day of self improvement on the course. Although it's not well marked in areas and can be a bit confusing, the starter gave me a good rundown and there were guys on the course who knew the layout. This is a links course so the wind was a bit of an additional challenge but the sun was warm and the play was relaxing. Not walkable unless you need a hard workout!

Steel Canton needs a starter and marshall

As always the greens are in excellent shape especially considering the time of year. A little brown but rolling smooth and very fast. However that wa the highlight of the round 4 hours to play an executive course makes for a long day. And the drainage problems still persist on too many holes. I realize it's on top of an old landfill but the same holes are muddy no matter when you play.
