Play was slow due to an inconsiderate group in front of us who took too long to look for lost balls.....every hole....and took too long on the green for such poor players. Unfortunate for us and those behind us.
Nice course w/ slow play
The course was in good shape. There were a lot of golfers walking the course which slowed the pace of play significantly. There was no course Marshall regulating pace of play.
Maintenance needed
This course has a great potential to be among the best in the area if some basic maintenance around the tee boces and bunkers was provided
Great layout, semi-rough condition
Very crowded but they kept pace of play moving. Facilities are in dire need of remodeling, but you spend no time there (clubhouse) so not a big deal. Course itself is in OK condition -- not great, but still fun to play. The star of the show is the course design and layout, which is beautiful and fun to play.
Shame
The city has really let this course go to doo doo which is a shame bc it’s got so much potential. Have to wonder who’s minding the store, typical of most city run courses tho nobody with any business sense managing operations. Could charge non residents a killing if you fixed this course up and really make some nice dough.
Love the layout
The course is in good shape, however the greens are a little fluffy and need to be cut closer. I have always loved the layout so it's always fun to play, just usually fairly slow.
Course was in terrible shape
We are out of towners, visiting our son. Course was in terrible shape. fairways were scalped and weedy.
we were to play 18 holes. The first nine took almost 3 hours. When we made the turn there were 5 groups in front of us. We decided to quit and tried to get a rain check and was told we had to call Golf Now, which has no phone number on their site.
Nice round
I had a nice time at Chastain. Have never played a course in the city so it was cool to see people walking around. No driving range though.
