About
Bear Trail Golf Club opened in 2007, making it one of Onslow County's newest courses. The championship course offers many risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to low and high handicappers alike. You'll encounter many challenges including a variety of water hazards and strategically placed bunkers but the hazards are nicely balanced by wide, gently rolling fairways, which offer a little room for error. You'll still have to be careful though, since tall trees and rough line both sides of most of the fairways. The golf course is as scenic as it is challenging, with natural wetland areas connected by rustic wooden bridges. There are some tricky holes but overall the round is gentle enough for beginners to approach with confidence. In addition to the golf course, Bear Trail also has a driving range and putting green available for golfers to use.

Great layout
This was our first experience at this course. We were a threesome of average golfers and all 3 of us really enjoyed this course. Layout is pretty open but beautiful with woods, water, and sand features. We will definitely play here again!
A hidden gem.
This course is out in the country but worth the drive. The course is fun to play. It is well maintained and picturesque. It is a real value.
Great layout
Bear Trail has a great layout with a lot of character. Par 5's are "risk / reward" hole, greens are fair and consistent. Staff was super friendly.
