great value
course was in great shape greens and fairways, greens were very challenging , course is pretty wide open
definitely will put it into our regular rotation
Great course
Due to Covid it has been packed ,like every course. The first time I played they where not taking Covid seriously. But when I came back it was much better people where keeping 6ft apart
Interesting
The reviews give this course a 4 star rating...... very hard to believe. Just an old goat track in my opinion. Good place if you want to go out there and knock a ball around but then again you could do that at a driving range with probably a much nicer practice green than any of the 18 greens they had on this course. No great scenic views on this course. Course club house is a single wide trailer.
Take Covid Seriously
I love your course but I cannot go back until we are past covid. It was obvious that many people there were not taking it seriously. Two people in a cart. Large group s on the back porch gathering after their round, not cool.
They need to take the Coronavirus-19 seriously
The staff made little effort to comply with the separation control policies that should be in place during the current pandemic. The golfers made even less effort. Of all the places I have played in the last 1-1/2 months, ALL of them have rules that only 1 person per cart (even family members), that the carts are cleaned prior to being giving to a player and the building (pro shop) used be closed.
I paid for my round through GolfNow so when I arrived, I had minimal contact with the pro shop, though it was open for me to enter. When getting my cart, I was given a cloth rag and and spray bottle from a golfer that had just cleaned his cart. Who knows what that spay solution was. The staff member took the two items with a "this is a stupid step" kind of look at me. I drove the cart to my car and re-cleaned it with my own cleaning wipes.
The course is tight, so you can see other players around. Many were carts were loaded the 2 players and many players had no thought of social distancing.
The last point of non-compliance was the crowded deck outside the pro shop. I love to have a drink after a round but seeing 20 or so people on a 500 square foot deck is, at this time, not good.
There are many courses around the area that take this coronavirus seriously, go to those places and not here.
My favorite Alamance course.
Quaker creek has always been a favorite of mine. Most alamance courses dont have a distinguishable layout. Several others are just a tee box and a green with nothing in between. At least at quaker creek you get fairways, cuts, and rough in between. If they can keep it from burning up and with all the new covid 19 golfers hopefully respecting the course, it will be nice throughout the season. I hope with all the new interest and income because of covid they can do some upgrading.
NOT doing much to keep golfers healthy!
WARNING: This course does NOT have measures in place to limit or prevent the spread of COVID19. The range is still open with no sanitizing of balls, flags are still on the practice putting green, and golfers are still pulling pins on the course. When I asked if the carts had been sanitized, I was greeted with a scowl and got a cursory wipe down of the seat and steering wheel, when I requested that the hand rails be wiped the guy looked at me like I had asked him to lick my shoes. (I sanitized the cart myself with my own Clorox wipes!). Ball washers have not been covered, and the back deck is open for people to sit around tables and have a drink after their round. The only measures I could see that they might have taken is that there were no rakes by the traps, but judging from everything else, someone probably just forgot to put them out this morning.
As for the course itself, I played 18 riding in just over 3 hours, so pace was good, although I did have to wait periodically for the twosome of hackers in front of me, and they for the foursome in front of them. The fairways are starting to green up and in relatively good stay, and the greens are in good shape, although a bit bumpy from having been recently punched. However, the fringe around many of the greens was bare And in some places just hard packed dirt.
I’ve played here in the past and been more impressed. Won’t be back until the pandemic is over. Scary!
Quaker Creek-not so good
We were disappointed in the course condition. The greens had all been punched and way over sanded. The front 9 were the only holes open....all of this was new news when we checked in.
It’s a fairly nice layout but the course was still pretty wet and the fairways haven’t grown in yet.
We made the best of it considering the Covid 19 circumstances.
Love to see workers taking care of course
We got behind a group that played slow no ranger to speed them up. Other than that best course around for the value greens are great. Just a fun tight course.
Great Time
I'm a very novice golfer, but really enjoyed this course. It was easy enough that I didn't hate myself all day, but had a nice bit of variety, was in good shape, and provided some challenges. I'm very happy with our choice.
I’ll be back
Nice course yardage markers are on point. Staff super friendly. Greens hold a ball well.
Great but
I usually come to this course from Sanford for one reason, I love the layout of this track. I’m familiar with this course as I have played it about thirty times. Today i was a little let down as I really really really had to alter my playing style. I am usually very aggressive with my shots 150 in. I know my distances really well. Today I was unable to do that as the greens were rock hard. Leaving hard judgement calls as each green was very different, I realize this region hasn’t gotten much rain lately. Nonetheless, I love Quaker creek and I will always come back!
Great course for the money
Pace of play was great. Greens were as good of condition as I’ve seen in a long time. Definitely worth the money fairways are excellent as always. Definitely recommend this course to anyone
