Ok Course
Bermuda grass tees and fairways were in great shape but still has bent grass greens. Greens are small, hard domes that rolled about like wax paper, but were clearly cared for. If the course was in my backyard I would play it often, but don’t plan on driving an hour very often.
Enjoyable course with a variety of different hole layouts
Really enjoyed playing this course. Fairways and greens in good shape. Our group drive over an hour to play here. Nestled away in a beautiful atmosphere of rural NC
Great Course for Value
Very quaint, open, and fun course. Fairways and rough are in great shape. Greens are small and some could use a little work but fret for the most part. This is a fantastic course that is fun to play for golfers of all skill levels and the best value for your money. I will keep coming back for sure!
Not a bad little country course
My review is consistent with the others. Pros... price and the course is in good shape from the tees through the fairways. Once you get around the greens, that's where the course is lacking. The bunkers are full of swarming hornets and are not being kept up. The greens are really slow, full of pitch marks, and a few are suffering from bald spots and weeds. The course is wide open so good for players who have trouble keeping it straight. Clubhouse is a trailer so nothing fancybbmy review might sound negative but I'll say this ..the course is in the middle of the country. But it's better than what you might expect. It's not just a cow pasture with 18 holes. It's a decent course. The rough is not talk but it's thick so it can be penalizing. I got it on a hot deal so it was worth the price. Oh, and as others have stated they don't seem to be taking covid very seriously. And if you all want your own cart they charge extra.
Green, green and greener
The course was lush. Great fairways, rough unforgiving and the greens, although slightly slow, made it a good challenge.
Can't wait to play it again.
Great fairways very slow greens
Off the tees and the andings were excellent. Found the greens very slow but at least they had grass compared to other courses. Another great round in the country.
Love this course
Had a great time cant wait to go back the small greens are very difficult but i would love to go there again.
Experience
First time playing Quaker Creek was enjoyable! The pro was friendly and showed me how to get to the first tee. Played solo and finished in 2 hrs. Course was in great shape although greens were pretty slow. Had so much fun I replayed and nearly played thru the same 4some on the first 18. Great open course with some challenge. Can’t wait to drive back, even coming from Raleigh.
Quaker Creek
Today was my 1st time at Quaker Creek. I played 18 with a cart for only $24 and completed my round in 2:45.
The greens were much softer than expected, far better than other courses that are 2x the cost. The fairways were also reasonably soft. The tees were the only truly hard/baked out area of the course.
I would recommend to anyone looking for a decent course at a great rate.
Good track. Don’t play mid morning on weekends. You will find yourself behind “Chesters” group. They seem to be decent group of golfers but they take to long to play. Anyways, the course is a nice sister course of the challenge and it’s a fun track. I recommend it to anyone.
Good course in great shape
Would change a few things, but overall Quaker Creek is a good place to play. Great weekday value for seniors. I consider QC my home course.
Rude and Uncivilized Staff
The desk attendant was the rudest I can remember in a long time. Signs posted require social distancing, but desk charges extra $10 for the cart. I was told that if I didn't like it, there were plenty of other courses and I didn't have to stay....on a prepaid hot deal. Cigarette smoke was a problem too. This course barely merits three stars when customers are treated appropriately. But like he said, there are plenty of other courses!
Super Condition Course and layout - Great Value
Played this course for the second time in a month. The course is in great condition except for the bunkers (local rule is free drop). The course is long (especially from the back tees) and the greens are small. For the money, this is an amazing value. Enjoy!
