About
The Golf Club at Eagle Creek in Moyock was designed with all players in mind. At just over 6,700 yards from the back tees, the course is not overly long but there are several holes that provide some length. Formerly known as Mill Run, the course underwent renovations and a name change under new ownership. The golf course is wide open, which means wind will definitely come into play during your round and there are also several water holes. The course has a links feel without any of the harsh links penalties. Instead, golfers will find that the landing areas are quite generous, offering a little room for error. Four different sets of tees make the golf course even more approachable for a wide range of skill levels. Another appealing aspect of the Golf Club at Eagle Creek is the fact that it's conveniently located less than an hour from Kitty Hawk and the OBX beaches.

Cow pasture.
This course is in terrible condition, greens are burnt out and bumpy. Fairways are are worse.
bad course and bad service
The greens are horrible, trying to putt on the greens are like putting on gravel. The greens have barely any grass. Also the fairways are dead poorly cut and hard as a rock. Another turn off was on the 10 hole beside the clubhouse it smelt like the golf course was running a bootleg fish processing plant it smelt horrible. Finally on the back nine I ran into a greens keeper with a horrible attitude. The guy was totally rude for no reason. For the money I would recommend playing the point. Great course with very friendly people who make you feel at home.
Wow, I just played here a few days ago and it was nothing like you explained, the greens rolled great and all but 2 of them were in very good condition
Never again
I will never play this course again it's grass was dried up wheat which everything is dead after winter but the ground was as hard as rock, the greens look like trash I could watch my ball bounce off the ground from hitting so many bumps this is a 12 dollar course at most I would not take a beginner there to pay 30$ for such a horrible course is outrageous. I have never left a course due to conditions but I actually left after 9 terrible holes I could not believe it please do yourself a favor and spend your 30$ at any other course in the area they are about that price and are way better kept up with. First course I have said never again too but it was just that bad
This course has promising greens
A nice course, good layout in view of the possibilities that the landscape offers. Greens are new and needs time to settle in, then - when cut properly - they seem very promising. Rough is tough, its almost impossible to find your ball in the deep rough. Cart paths should be finished when funds allow. We walked the course - turned out to be more demanding than it would appear - a cart is recommended.
Temporary Greens
As title states they had temporary greens on all the holes. It made for an interesting round. The course isn't a bad course at all. They are making a lot of improvements. It's just a place to go and really practice what you want to try. I'll definitely go again but after the original greens are repaired of course lol
Do not waste a tee time
Lots of potential, but very rundown. Temporary greens, and even soccer golf is played on this course (soccer greens almost better than the golf greens). Need some serious TLC...
Temporary greens
We cancelled our tee time after driving over 45 minutes to play. There should have been notification that they were redoing all of the greens, and we would be playing on temporary greens.
How can they call it a golf course?
one of the worst courses I have ever played, rough was unmowed, some of the fairways were not recently mowed. we had to wait 15 t0 20 min for kids playing kick golf on the course, that's right, there is a kick golf course on the regular course and everyone was backed up waiting while kids played, REALLY! Greens were slow and huge damage on them, large indents where work was done and never filled in. Just an awful course. can't believe I drove 35 min to try this, what a waste.
Getting Better!
They are going in the right direction. New cart paths, and the greens are healing. Dan and his staff are always friendly. The Grill is always cheerful and has good food. Only one ball washer on the course, the traps lack sand, and no Water stations anymore. We all want to see this course be successful.
Going in the right direction.
This was my third round at Eagle Creek and it's getting better every time. They are building cart paths now and the greens and tees were pretty good and the rest is coming along. They have always had great food and friendly service. The young lady that took care of us on this drizzly Easter Sunday was exceptionally friendly and made us feel like old friends.
When we made the turn she literally ran from the cart stable to the clubhouse to get us some drinks and snacks.
And we got a great hot deal, so all in all it was worth the trip and I'll be back.
Needs cart paths
The greens are excellent nice track friendly staff needs concrete or paved cart paths
.True Country Club Atmosphere!
More than just a Great golf course. They have something to entertain every member of the family. From the fantastic food to the fire pits out back there is no better place in Moyock to relax.
Play Local
Good local course not to difficult and not to full so you are not rushed on the course. course has been improving every year with new ownership. Food at the clubhouse is amazing staff is friendly and they are always holding events on weekends and Friday nights great for the kids too.
Greens are awesome
Wow the greens have really improved . looks as if the over seaded for the winter . bar and grill staff are always friendly .
Wide open
Nice wide open space. Work being done on several of the greens had us putting on the fairway with a temporary hole. Greens run extremely fast.
Fun course, good value.
There were a couple of temporary greens when we played but you can't beat the price. Layout and overall conditions are good. Pace of play is up to you.
Improving
The staff is very friendly. The course is definitely improved. They are letting areas between holes grow up providing more separation. They have more concrete cart paths. Golf carts were very clean. The only area of improvement I could see would be the greens and they are getting better. The staff in the pro shop is great. I will play more.
Needs some TLC
We played this course for the first time this past weekend and we're somewhat disappointed. The greens were in very rough shape and need a lot of work. The fairways were okay as were the men's tee boxes. Not so for the women's tees. Recommend management devote some time and effort to making them equal to the men's tees. The course is advertised as being a "links" course but a links course has mounds and humps and sand and grouse; this course is just flat with some nice water hazards. However, not everything is a negative. The basic layout is pretty good and there has been a lot of effort expended making up for years of serious neglect. A few trees and shrubs to break up the monotony and leaving some rough to help define fairways would be a big help toward making the course much more playable and enjoyable. When they get the greens back into condition we intend to play there again.
played here last week and it was very much improved you should give it another shot.
