About
The Golf Club at Eagle Creek in Moyock was designed with all players in mind. At just over 6,700 yards from the back tees, the course is not overly long but there are several holes that provide some length. Formerly known as Mill Run, the course underwent renovations and a name change under new ownership. The golf course is wide open, which means wind will definitely come into play during your round and there are also several water holes. The course has a links feel without any of the harsh links penalties. Instead, golfers will find that the landing areas are quite generous, offering a little room for error. Four different sets of tees make the golf course even more approachable for a wide range of skill levels. Another appealing aspect of the Golf Club at Eagle Creek is the fact that it's conveniently located less than an hour from Kitty Hawk and the OBX beaches.

Rushed Round
We had a 7:40 tee time. When we arrived we were told we were being put on the back nine. No big deal there, but the kicker was we were required to be on #2 by 9::00 due to a shotgun start tournament going off at 9:00. Obviously this is not ideal. We normally play fairly fast, but this was more like a speed golf race. Not that enjoyable. Overall the course is in good condition, but the overbooking was annoying.
Great course
The course was in great shape, especially the greens.
Wind is no friend
I really like this course, but when it is windy as it was. It is extremely difficult do to lack f trees to seflect wind. When in your face, it can be a 3 club difference.
Golf Day
This course is in relatively good shape although there aren’t any sand traps…Still a nice place to play..
Rock Hard
The fairways are rock hard the tee boxes are rock hard. No sand bunkers. Was a good value when it was 25$ at 40$ there are much better local courses.

Bets course overall
Drove an hour from Corolla to this course and it was worth every penny. Front desk lady was awesome, and range was very nice couldn’t recommend it enough. $30 for 18 is the best value ever and the conditions were mint.
Very pleased
This was my first round at Eagle Creek this year. I've played other courses close by in Virginia but this course in my opinion was in great shape overall. Our pace was good (twosome) but on the back 9 we came upon a single that really held us up. We wound up going around him and the group in front of him, so we missed 2 holes.
They have done a major brush removal around one of the water holes and put sod in down to the water line. We didn't loose a ball but if you get close, you probably will be reaching for another.
The only aspect of the course I'm not crazy about is the cart paths. About 50% of them are dirt and gravel. Very bumpy and can be very dusty if you're riding behind another cart. It also makes the ride unpleasant.
Regardless, one of my favorites...
Suggestion
It would be nice if some breakfast sandwiches were available and possibly a cart person on the course with drinks
Solid value
Not much elevation change. In fact almost zero. Most greens are unguarded so bring your bump and run game. Water is rarely an issue and no bunkers. Course conditions were good. Staff was friendly. Will play there again.
