Great course
Tillary has great greens and a great layout, but there some blind tee shots where you can't see landing area. Would love to be a member, but too far from home. The nearby lake homes are gorgeous. Deer roam the area.
Tillery Tradition
Played on 11/08 2021 and course from tee to green in excellent shape. Greens in best shape I have ever seen them in five years playing here. I will be back.
The greens are in great shape, one of my favorite courses to play
Worth the drive from Charlotte
Playing Tillery is like going to a private club. Clubhouse is beautiful, greens and fairways in excellent condition. Today the greens seemed a little sticky and slow, but the layout is very good. Wish I lived closer in order to play here on a regular basis. It's worth the drive from the Charlotte area a few times per year.
Great Buy
Beautiful Course for the Price. Makes you feel like there are still great deals out there.
Fantastic
Great price, immaculate greens, friendly staff
Best golf experience this year!
Pristine condition
This is a great course and the fairways, greens and overall condition is fantastic. On quip would be the par 3 #17 has a large area under repair and shouldn’t place the pin in the front part of that green. Pace of play was great on a weekend with a 8a start our 4some finished in 4 hours!!
Renewed course gets my vote
This is about my fifth time playing from about 8-10 years duration. I live in Washington State and come to N.C.. once in a while. This is the best Course conditions I have seen over the years. It is immensely playable through the green. This course is a gem that will emerge as a top place to play. For the price it is a great value.
Hidden Gem
Was looking for a course to play while traveling from Charlotte to Greensboro, and this one came up on my search. What a pleasant surprise! Played on a weekday afternoon in 3 1/2 hours, which was a leisurely pace. I saw not one single thing I could point out as being a negative for this golf course. I play to a 5 index, and played from the blues (one box up from the tips). Plenty of challenge from 6300 yards. The greens were firm and rolling true and fast. Was fortunate to not play from any of the bunkers, but they looked in good shape and well maintained. The fairways and tee boxes were also in good shape. They have a very nice clubhouse here as well, although I did not sample any of the food. I travel to NC about once a year on business, and this course will be at the top of my list of courses to try and play when I come up from Florida. Playing here was really enjoyable, so I hope folks will support the course so it will be there for me the next time I am in the area.
Tillery Review
I played with a friend and it took four hours to play. We can usually play a round here in three hours. We played on 10/04/2021 and the tees, fairways and greens were good. The greens are going to get better but still rolled true and ran around a 10. The course has a lot of character with no house's on the course. I have seen deer and wild turkeys on the course and I definitely will play here again.
Really nice and challenging course
Played a 4 person captains choice scramble today and it was the first time all of us had played Tillery Tradition CC. Very impressive facility overall. Greens were in great shape as were fairways and tees. I would love to have this course closer to Charlotte. It was a 90 minute drive each way but well worth it. The staff was very hospitable and attentive. I've played over 25 courses in the area, but Tillery was the most fun and challenging of all. If they could clone this course 15 minutes from Indian Land I would become a member and stop playing Sun City Carolina Lakes which is the course I already live on. Great job Tillery staff and grounds crew!
Good Round with Family
Played course first time with my nephew. Both of us really enjoyed the course. Course was in excellent condition. Greens were very fast which contributed to several of my three putts. Holes are challenging but still playable for someone like me who usually shoots in the 95-105 range. We would definitely play the course again.
