Carolina Lakes Golf Club

First time playing this course and it was a fun round of golf. Course was in good shape and pins were in fairly challenging positions. The range and restaurants were closed due to COVID-19 but they did have a grill outside and the beverage cart made its rounds on the course. Friendly staff and will definitely be playing here again.

This was my first time playing here and I loved it! Course was in great shape and the layout was fairly challenging. It is a bit of a drive from uptown Charlotte, but well worth it! The mark of a good course, tee times were difficult to come by so make sure to book in advance. Highly recommend!

The layout is nice and the course is beautiful. The greens could use some improvements.

The course is beautiful, as far as the layout and location go. The fairways were in great shape. Greens could’ve been a little more kept up, but overall, great afternoon round. I actually passed 2 groups of people who were in front of me, so I’m not sure the pace of play is as smooth as I’d like, but the golfers ahead of me were polite in letting me pass them.

It would be nice if they had an overview of the course as found trouble several times not knowing of a creek running thru the fairway. The greens were really slow and should have been mowed. I would play again but would be better prepared as no refreshment cart on course only at the turn...

First time playing here. Course was in great condition ... tees, fairways, rough, bunkers and greens .... all in very good shape. Lots of variety; the course layout is very nice. Got an afternoon rate of $39 which makes this a very good value. If there is one critique it would be for the players to do a better job of fixing pitch marks on the green. Did not have any interfere with our putting, but the lack of consideration isn't good for the greens or for following players. Looking forward to playing Carolina Lakes again soon.

One of my favorite courses. Great variety of holes with challenging as well as birdie chances. My only knock is the unfixed or poorly fixed ball marks. Most greens were riddled with them.

Well worth the money in the afternoon. Nice layout - course in good shape and a fun track. Will definitely be back.

I'm beginning to like this course more & more... Friendly & helpful staff... Kevin & David were awesome playing partners.. Fairways were in good condition.. Even with the rain the day before.. Traps were in decent condition.. Greens rolled a bit slow... All in all. No complaints. I'll be back next week!!!

The course was in decent shape (bermuda not in all the way) abd the greens were excellent. Pace of place could uave been just a bit better, we waitied on every hole, but we played in 4.5 hours. A little pricey, but I will play again.

I always enjoy playing at CLGC. The only thing was difficulty with the wind. But the course is in fine shape. If you haven’t played here I suggest you do. You won’t be disappointed

Nice course with a very interesting layout. Huge greens that roll fast and true. Course Conditions will only get better as the weather warms up. There are some areas of “hard pan” but with some water and warmer weather, I’d expect them to improve quickly. This was my second time playing here and will certainly return. A very solid golf course that is challenging but rewards good shots. Be careful on club selection off the tee as some holes do not require the typical driver. Staff was quite friendly and accommodating. Well done Carolina lakes - I look forward to my return.
