Pines at Woodmont Country Club
About
The Pines is one of two championship golf courses at Woodmont Country Club in Tamarac. It and the Cypress Course share a gently rolling landscape that is sprinkled with mature trees, which frame the views from the elevated tees. While they share the same terrain, the courses offer very different challenges. The lengthier Cypress requires both distance and accuracy while the Pines Course will get you thinking. It is a shot maker's course that will test a variety of skills. Course management is key as is a well thought out strategy for every hole. The layout features undulating greens and tree-lined fairways that also place a premium on accurate shot placement. In addition to the golf courses, Woodmont C.C. also has a driving range and two putting greens for golfers to use.

Cypress at Palm-Aire Pompano Beach
Of the two courses I played, The Palms and the Cypress, the Cypress was in much better condition. It is more challenging and the pace ofplay was excellent.
First time
Fun course. You can definitely tell it is an older course and somewhat spoiled by the number of condos that seem to line every hole. Still a fun course to play
Very tired
NOT a very warm and friendly place to play a casual round. Pro shop staff actually seemed irritated we showed up !??:)
I wasn’t expecting Augusta but I’ve played many public courses and overall this was below average. Course was decent at best. Good news is that the price does reflect this but just don’t think you’re getting a bargain.
Will not return...
5 Stars
Excellent course layout. Greens, fairways and teeing areas were in superb condition. Staff is always courteous and welcoming.
An overall good experience, excellent layout
I’m not sure what anyone would complain about thiis sub $50 greens fee course. There is good value here.
This is a good to excellent track. Furtherrmore, this is the first course in the area that I have played that provided a complimentary bottle of water at the beginning of the round...that was a nice and welcomed touch since courses are no longer supplying water fountains and/or water coolers on the course for patrons.
The layout is phenomenal. Although this was my first time playing the course, it is basically pretty straightforward but challenging. I played the BLUE tees with a 10:50 am tee time. Some of the tee boxes had some bad spots, but overall they were all pretty good. The fairways were consistent and the bunkers had good sand to play out of. The rough was as it should be. The greens were rolling very consistent, true and fast...lightning fast above the hole. I wasn’t disappointed on any of the greens. Some had some spots where maintenance had applied “colored” chemicals to kill “foreign” grass, and I can only recall one hole that had a green where there was an abundance of sand from “hole refills”.
Overall, this in my opinion, is definitely a course that I will look to play again and would recommend others to play also.
Don’t bother
First off the range is closed. Service sucks. No beverage cart. Under staffed. Greens painted. It’s also around a ton of construction. Carts paths a horrible. It’s not worth $60 we paid. They have a shortage of golf carts also so you have to wait until they have one for you.
The condition was good compare to other golf course (many in the area have draining challenge). You are moving around houses offering a nice scenery.
The first 9 holes were slow. No Marshall around to increase the beat.
Excellent and challenging course
Woodmont is an excellent course that has some challenging holes. The staff is friendly and a round at woodmont is always a great time.
Nice visit
When I come here, I play this course and I’ve really learned to appreciate the layout. It offers great rewards.
Great Layout - Cypress
Really enjoyed the layout for Cypress. A couple of holes where you’ve gotta make the decision to lay up or go for it. Course is in pretty fair condition, a few tee boxes could use some tlc. Staff at the clubhouse and starter were very friendly and shared some local knowledge with me regarding the course. Pace of play was perfect, I got around in 1:50 as a single. Only problem all day was the grounds crew had no regard for anybody on the course. They kept driving in my lines while I was lined up, this occurred atleast 3 times. Not to mention there were a lot of pedestrian walkers on the course with no regard despite the posted signs all over. I would definitely recommend the course, hopefully this was a one off with the grounds crew and walkers.
Wood mint CC
Course is a very good layout and not being taken care of. Glad to see
Expected More Left Disappointed
Played this course 1 time before a few weeks back, and thought it was ok. I decided to bring some friends with me today, but they weren't impressed, in fact two of them left halfway through the round. The problem was we stopped for lunch without knowing a tournament was behind us, so by the time (20 min) we returned to play they said we couldn't get back in the main course and ushered off to their small 9 hole executive which was basically a dog track. In fact the entire place is one construction zone.
I did let the clubhouse attendant know that we would not be returning anytime soon. Too bad, I had high hopes, and this round was just a big disappointment, and slightly embarrassing for me having recommended it to a few new players. Save your money and play somewhere else, too many courses in SFL at the same price to be bothered by unappreciative management. This place could be nice when its completed, may have to check it out in a couple years again.
