Great Value, unfortunately condition
Pace of play is generally SLOW. Some tee boxes and greens look decent while others look atrocious. Its really sad that they have a greenskeeper capable of maintaining the champ course, but completely neglect the Glades
Overlook
It is an interesting executive course but it desperately needs work
The tee boxes are very sandy and deep gouges on the greens
It is a perfect course for a beginner but otherwise a seasoned golfer won’t be pleased
Pretty nice par 64 course
Was able to get right out on the Glade’s course. We caught the next group after the front 9, and slowed up our pace quite a bit. Course is fine, and had a few challenging holes. Price is definitely right, but didn’t get a chance to eat or spend anytime in the clubhouse/restaurant. I’d say about 2/3rd of the greens were playable. Yeah, I’d return again when in Fort Lauderdale.
Horrible
This was absolutely the worst course I’ve ever played on in condition wise no sand in the sand traps. The greens were horrible with mud spots, dirt spots, overgrown, grass, weeds, etc. the tea boxes were not tea boxes. They were flat ground with dirt and sand so you had no footing. The fairways were also roots mud and dirt. Don’t waste your time effort or money. This course was horrible.
Bad condition The Glades course
Very poor condition
The course need to be restorate
Don’t do it!
My fellow golfers. Please save yourself the stress and go somewhere else to play. Shame on this staff for charging money to play this so called golf course. They should condemn this place and let the ducks run free. What horrible experience.
First and last.
Horrible unplayable should not even charge to play this course.
Great Round
We had a great round ,
will be back. A couple slow downs on the back but not serious.
Course Needs TLC
This course has great potential for family golf. Unfortunately tee boxes and greens are not well kept. A disappointment because the proximity and potential is great.
This course has awful tea boxes
This course needs a lot of attention, especially the tea boxes and the greens. They’re awful to hit off and awful to put off. I do not recommend this for anybody. I don’t care how little it cost. I
Pace of play
Took 5hrs for the round... pace of play was horrible and no Marshall in site.
Good Value
Colony West has 2 courses. The Champions course is their main 18, but the Glades is a nice little par 3 course perfect for working on your ball striking. There aren’t any bunkers on the course and not much water. I love going out here when I need to get my swing working right. The tee boxes could use some love and attention, as well as some of the greens, but nothing out there will ruin your day. Enjoyable course.
Great for the Fee Paid
Course has sooo much potential. Once your green are consistently grass (right now sand and grass) and you get some more grass on the fairways it will be great.
Great Day
The weather was perfect, no slow downs .Will be back whenprice is right. Would like to see some repairs done to bathrooms at the 9 th hole.
Need more love
Nice layout but green got to be upgrade
Not grass into fairway
Good for what you pay
The layout was easy. I played Glades, their executive course, and it has definitely seen better days. There are no sand traps which, although making it easier, makes it unchallenging. I paid 25 bucks and I wouldn’t pay one dollar more. The tee boxes were in awful shape. The greens had rough spots and sand all over, but still they rolled decently. Good course for practice, but that’s about it. Their restaurant was good, the staff in the pro shop and the starter were extremely friendly and accommodating. This is a course that, with some effort from the owners and management, could become a go to for me. I enjoyed my time and, for the right price, would definitely play again.
glades course
due to the drought this course has suffered.
Championship course has taken all of managements attention.
Do not recommend playing here until weather conditions change and the course management spends some time and money to rejuvenate this course!
