Sydney R. Marovitz Golf Course

Sydney is a really solid 9 hole course with some great lake views. The course plays to a fair length even though it's not the biggest piece of land. Considering how much play it gets, they do a nice job maintaining the course. Staff has always been friendly too. Be sure to go early though as pace of play gets slow pretty quickly within the day.

First of teeoff never mentioned course was having construction and second not a word about greens being punched dime size holes. So over all it wasn't a good experience

Everything was in good condition except the greens had been punched about a week ago. Understandably, they weren’t rolling very well.

Staff was super upfront and honest about the corporate outing ahead of us, letting us know play would be slow. They did a great job of keeping everyone moving though.

Playing along the Lakeshore in Chicago makes you feel like the man - only thing that could make this course better would be for it to be private, and not a walking course. I played in the pouring rain but I still had a wonderful time because no one was in front or behind me, I played 9 holes in 80 minutes. I imagine when the weather is nice this place is full and not as fun to play. But the course is fun and there are some difficult, and some easy holes. All in all, not a bad way to spend $17 all said and done.

Shocked we were able to get out on New Years Eve Day. For a public 9-hole course - can't beat this one. Great views of the lake. Some easy holes. Some tough ones - namely #4. Can have pace of play issues during summer weekends. One of my favorites for a quick nine.

For 9 holes and usual waiting on every hole id say a little over priced. But it’s a nice course and as long as it doesn’t rain conditions are quite good

We usually go to this course due to its proximity to the city. However, this is the last time we will play at this course. My group felt harassed by one of the employees named Jan. We talked to the manager about this and he seemed understanding. But it didn’t change the fact that Jan ruined the rest of our holes and day.

I’ve never seen a starter panic so badly over a slow day. We arrived 5 minutes prior to our tee time at the box and she’s rudely asking if we are ready over and over while we are on the tee box about to hit. The group in front of us was only 150 yards out and no one in sight behind. Had the same treatment checking in at the pro shop with the older gentleman. Very rude, doesn’t want to listen to my question. Rushing me out for some reason. Just panic amongst the staff. Other than that the course fun. Fairways / bunkers could use more work for the price. Greens are nice. Overall a fun course and not a fun staff

Such a friendly staff, greens were in very good shape!

Got there 5 mins before my tee time, talk to the runner and they said they let my group go without me. I missed the first hole of a nine hole course for no fault of my own.
