The greens were in great shape but the fairways were a little dry
A sub two-hour 9???
Yup, I said it - a sub two-hour round at Waveland.
The course was surprisingly very empty this morning. Best condition I have seen this track ever. Fairways were mowed, bunkers were plush, the greens were soft and receptive (super slow pace). The tee boxes, especially on 9, were a bit janky, Overall, great morning out by the lake.
Good job crew… all your work has produced a gem.

Affordable and overall good conditions. patience is required - very slow pace of play!
Great value. Course was in very good conditions. Friendly staff. VERY slow pace of play; took about 2.5hrs to play 9. Although we waited 5-10mins at just about tee box (aside from hole 1), this course is ideal for those looking to squeeze in a game without venturing outside of the city. I plan on coming back - maybe tomorrow!
Great 9 hole course pace of play is not great on the weekends took about 2:45 to play 9 holes.
Solid city track!
Nice little city track right across the street from me. Perfect for a mid-morning 9
Excellent condition
The course is in excellent condition. Many times I’ve played there and the rough was to long. This course has a lot of beginners and having a unmanicured rough really slows the pace of play. Was done in 2 hours and 15 minutes. Played at 11:00.
Good local course in the city
Course is full size which is great for the city! Solid 9 hole course. No practice green area which is a little frustrating, and the greens were a bit bumpy. Other than that it was pleasantly well kept. Fairway was pretty firm for April, and tee bacons could be in better condition. A couple boxes it was hard to find a flat clean place to stand with how torn up they were.
Starter
Arrived 10 min before my tee time and was told my group had already gone off. “They were really busy” and they wanted push people off that showed up early. My group was in the fairway on 1 and I wasn’t allowed to hit off the tee as another group was “waiting”. Had to skip the first hole of a 9 hole course. Was told I could play the hole after I got through 9!? Because I want to play away from the clubhouse and then come back down 1? Never had this happen before. I should have at least been able to hit off the tee and catch up. Rest of the day was good and course is in decent shape.
