Sydney R. Marovitz Golf Course

We had a 7:24 tee time and he kept telling us how we had to hurry because there was a league taking off right after us. we understood the first time but he kept going. we had to tell him that we got it and said he didn't need to repeat himself so much. and he goes "well thats how things go around here.

Nice course but the fairways are not cut what makes it more difficult

2.5 hours for 9 holes was not what I was expecting on a Tuesday afternoon! Waited for almost every shot. Talked to others that have played there before and it seems to be a consistent thing.

Other notes-course is pretty nice. Definitely some long and challenging holes. The greens are very difficult. Putting will definitely be your downfall on this course!

Right on the lake so you can see it just about every hole. Parking is not free so download the park mobile app or get ready to pay the box.

Overall I’d play again but I’d be expecting 2.5 hours to complete it.

So the course ended up cancelling on me less than 24 hours before my tee time.

That being said, I’ve played the course before and like it a lot for a city course.

I would just really like to know why they cancelled on me?

The course sent us a cancellation on Saturday. Didn’t get a response, but I’ve played this course before, so I could leave a bad review. Not sure why it was cancelled by the course, but I’d like this to rectified.

Course is enjoyable when it isn’t too backed up. It’s not Augusta, but fun course to squeeze in 9 downtown/on the lake.

The course, the value and location are all great. However, I did not appreciate getting told by 2 staff members (on the same hole) that our group was playing slow -for multiple reasons. 1, I've been playing for 25 years and I know slow play, this was not slow play. 2, the group that was behind us and apparently complained only ever had to wait once, and it was a par 3 (waiting is extremely common). 3, we were told on the 7th hole of 9. That message falls on deaf ears when you wait that long and why did they need 2 staff members to talk to us. I get that they're doing their jobs but we got the message after 1. 4, we had a group of 4 and the group behind us had 3. Do the math, we are going to play slightly slower. Also, they never asked us to play through and apparently resorted directly to complaining. The rest of the day was great

Great day to be out so didn't mind at first, but I got to the 3rd hole and realized it took an hour to play the first two holes. Then there were 4 groups at the 3rd hole (one just finishing; 2 on the tee box when we got to it). I decided to walk off the course when the group behind us caught up to us as well. However, the manager, Ryan took care of the problem for me at the front desk. Ryan also helped me at check-in when the front desk person didn't understand that I had pre-paid for the round on Golf Now (she stated that nothing is ever pre-paid at the course -- which is odd, b/c this was my second time using Golf Now on it). Thank you, Ryan for saving the day/round for me!

Very challenging and tough 9 hole course. The wind coming off Lake Michigan make all shots very difficult.

traps unkept course rough but playing winter rules it was very playable....bums tent in a tree on a hole was a first...lol
