The staff was rude minus the kid cleaning the carts.

The pace was 3.5 hours/9 holes.

The course attendant wouldn’t stop following us around with his cart because he “liked us” we didn’t come to make new friends dude.

Being a city course you have to deal with non golfers poor etiquette around the course.

Drove off the course after hole 4 because it was already 90 minutes into the round.

Food is garbage.

Would not recommend this course for anyone who takes less than 2 hours to play 9. The manager and head pro are completely ineffective and don’t seem to care about anything besides talking to their friends who are around. I paid 30 dollars and still feel ripped off.

Worst employees and rate of play I’ve ever experienced. Reminder it was so bad I drove off the course.

Great location along the lake, Scottish Links in the Heart of Chicago

The course is a great bargain because it allows me to maintain my swing and strength in between rounds at 18 hole courses.

I’ve driven, biked, and walked past this course dozens of times. I live nearby now, and booked a tee time. Very nice nine hole course on Lake Michigan. Course was in okay condition. I had a couple of lies in clover, at least one of them in the fairway. Greens were i. Good condition, and the sand was challenging. Surprising length, considering it’s a 9 hole course. Look forward to playing again.

I had a fun round today. The course conditions were very good. I think the pace of play was somewhat slow as we waited several times during the nine holes. Nice staff here and they had a ranger. It was hot outside, but the course played well. Wish they had a drink cart available or better food and beverage amenities, but I realize it was early in the morning.

Overrated course. Tried to go on a Tuesday morning to get a quick nine holes in. This place is ALWAYS OVERCROWDED. The course packs tee times right on top of each other. It was the worst golf experience I’ve had in a few years. I live down the street from the course and I won’t be ever coming back. Course condition is average at best. Looks like they are trying to change their name inside to promote more cubs merchandise which was weird. Two and a half hour nine hole experience. Pace of play needs to be fixed but this course cares more about money than a positive experience for their customers.

I had stayed away from Marovitz for several years due to slow play, but all three of my 2019 rounds moved along much quicker, and I understand they’ve made great strides to improve pace of play in recent years.

The bunkers are still in great shape after the renovation, and the course was in as good of condition as any for a surprise round of December golf. The layout is straight forward, but there are enough bunkers guarding the greens to keep things challenging.

You can’t beat the convenience of city golf!

This is a fun layout right on the lake just north of downtown. I usually go first thing and can finish 9 holes before work. It is a fun track and kept in pretty good shape. It plays fast in the morning but gets real slow as the day goes on and during weekends. Overall good value and a fun place to play. No practice facility so you have to jump in cold.

I have played Sydney R. Marowitz dozens of times. Conditions are always fair to good and the staff is always friendly. For a course located right in the city and played as often as this you can't ask for much more. Pace of play can be slow but that is to be expected.

Lived here for years but my first time playing this 9-hole gem. Very well managed in terms of getting players out and on pace. Great lakeside fairway views. Very forgiving layout. No need to get your own foursome. Reserve online because the starter told us this the busiest 9-hole in the U.S. 10,000 golfers in August.
