I’ve played this course for 20 years and the greens were in the best shape that I’ve ever seen. They true and fast… Great Job maintenance crew!
Great for the value
It’s a solid semi short 9 hole right on the lake. Easy to get to and a lot more convenient than heading to the suburbs. For being March in the Midwest the course was in great shape and the greens were on the quicker side. When it picks up they do a great job of pushing along the slower groups and keeping pace. Longest round I’ve ever seen payed in the last three years is 2:15.
Winter gem
While in the summertime and good weather, this course can be PACKED and extremely slow, I appreciate that it is open nearly all year round. If you are willing to brave the cold and don’t mind slow greens, you can play a very peaceful 9 here in the winter
Great 9 hole course right off the lake.
This was a beautiful course that showcases all that Chicago visually has to offer. Will definitely be back.

Great Condition
I played Marovitz several times when we lived here from 2017-2019, and every time I visit. The course conditions on Friday were the best I’ve ever seen. Great value, Friendly staff, typical muni slower than ideal pace of play. But it’s a beautiful location, so take in the view and enjoy a relaxed pace round.
City Golf
We played this course and used a cart although the couple with us walked it. I might walk it next time with a pull cart. Coming from Arizona, it was strange to be golfing inner city with Lake Michigan to our east and the city to the west, but it was a fu corse. Just the ball) doesn't roll much in the thick grass,unlike the dead grass in AZ. All-in-all good time and would definitely play again. Reminder, gotta book early and if you want to play 18, we were told we had to book 2 tee times back to bak or with 15 minutes of ending the first round.
