Course is in great shape A++
Course is looking and playing great. The Bermuda rough is starting to turn winter brown. Greens accepting ball well and rolling true.
Fun course
Had fun they had a good pace of play, staff very friendly. Was my step sons first time course is good for a new player. You do need to hit the green or the small fairways the grass right off of fairways will make your golf ball disappear. Look forward to going back.
Great place for a twilight round
It’s a nice, leisurely golf experience. I played a nine-hole, twilight round after a workday. Somewhat challenging, but this was the first round I’ve gotten to play this year so it wasn’t too bad. Lots of elevation changes and some water hazards and forest to hit around. Greens looked like they were recently aerated, but still played decently. Picturesque setting, saw some wildlife along the way, too. The course isn’t fancy and the driving range, practice greens, and pro shop are pretty spartan. But, the staff was really nice and helpful, and the weather was absolutely wonderful. It was nice because I was able to go out by myself instead of getting lumped into a group (orindarily, I wouldn’t mind but I’m a healthcare worker and I’m trying to minimize exposure to others)—the course staff were happy to oblige. My only critique was that my golf cart did not drive well and was really struggling to get up and down the cart paths with the elevation changes. The staff member said this was a problem with several carts and they were having a mechanic come to repair them. So, it’ll probably be fixed by the time someone reads this and books a time time there. I’m an okay golfer—not great, not terrible—and I thought thought this course was a really decent place to play, especially for the price.
Surprising (but nice) for a short course
This was a very nice short course, but not at all easy (for me anyway). The course was in good shape and not busy. We didn't have to wait on any hole. The greens were very difficult to read. Overall a very enjoyable round.
Challenging course...great fun
Totally enjoyed playing golf here. You will not be disappointed.

The “Wee” course is a challenge for you short game (that’s what I like about it. The course had been aerated lately, and a number of ball marks were unrepaired but hold on to your hat...the greens were fast with a lot of subtle breaks. Also, a number of the holes were in the 75-100 yard range, but don’t be fooled....if you don’t put your tee ball in the right place, it may be difficult to make par. Overall, a good challenge with variety in the holes. If you want to sharpen your short game, this is the course for you!
Good overall
I’m friends with the man who runs the place, and I have taken a class here under the supervision of UT. I love coming here for the hot deal of 10 bucks and playing a fairly simple but tight par 3 course. The only issue I had is that at around 7:15, while I was finishing up the 16th hole, a younger man came down and told us to pack up and bring the cart back up. The light was still shining and I was not wanting to miss out on the last 2 holes seeing that they would only take ~10 minutes. When I arrived back at the pro shop around 7:28 and tried to make conversation with the two men including the one who told us to come up. They just seemed rather rude and not too friendly. In the end, I will come back for Eric and Micah are great people. I do recommend this course.
Best par 3 in Tennessee
I play here all the time… I love the range and practice putting green, the staff and the course…. And you definitely have to be accurate or you’re losing balls...
Normally the pace is great as well!!
Best Par three in Tennessee… GBO

It’s a fun course to play. You better be accurate or you’ll won’t score. Also, the weather was perfect. Thanks

Tees are badly chewed up, but since the golfer tees the ball so it has no effect. People don’t fix ball marks. On some greens, if the golfer is 6 to 8 feet off green ball can easily be lost. The course from tee to green requires accuracy or the golfer is in trouble; I like the challenge. The greens are a putting challenge which I have not full figured out yet; many subtile undulations. I play the course to improve my game from 150 yards and in. Enjoy it.

Hi Nolan,
I apologize that you did not have a positive experience. With the days getting shorter we do require golf carts to come in at a certain time. It sounds like the situation could of been handled differently. I will speak to my staff about their attitudes and how it affects the atmosphere at Williams Creek. We do appreciate your business and Support of The First Tee and Williams Creek Golf Course.
