Cypress at Woodmont Country Club
About
The Cypress Course at Woodmont Country Club in Tamarac is named after the mature trees that line the fairways and frame the views from the elevated tees. The course measures 7,043 yards and features undulating greens that are a challenge too with carefully shaped contours that are subtle but tricky. It is a golf course that requires not only distance, but also accuracy and a good course management.

Good layout
It’s being redone so should be nice in the end but the course does need some TLC at some tee boxes and greens.
Golf
The course is challenging when the wind blows. Very good greens. Some great holes. Little confusing on their. What hole goes? Where or what course? They're doing some modifications. I guess it'll be better come season.
Woodmont country club
Very good value for $$.
Great staff.
Course can be challenging at times. Need to play it as few times to get the hang of it.
Overall good course!
course very confusing
they are repairing and upgrade the courses so they close the back nines on both which makes it confusing to play front lines and that’s not what I agreed on when I paid for the round. I’d appreciate a partial full refund.
Course is about to be torn up
I'm writing this review in early May 2024. The course is in rough shape. I was told they're going to tear up the tee boxes and some of the green on the front 9 in late June or early July and they'll be using the Pines course 9 hole course across the street, which I believe it's private, but manage by the same people. Once they're done with the front 9, they're going to redo the back 9. So hopefully by spring 2025 the course will be in good shape.
Not for the price
If the price was much less, this would be a good practice course, as that is why I booked it. The practice green was a bit rough, carts were pretty beat, nice chipping warm up area though. Tee boxes weren’t in best of conditions, greens rolled decently slow with some rough spots on most. Fairways seemed to be in pretty good shape, however. There was basically a train of people spaced very closely, so pace was terribly slow. The twosome I played with were really awesome and knew to ask about playing the pines for our back 9 and there was no one on it, the greens were in better condition and the tee boxes so it made the round much better. The Marshall was very friendly and advisable as this was my first time playing here.
Good course
Played it once before and did not remember. The course was in good condition and greens were rolling well. Played whites which was a little short, but still fun.
Worth the money
My favorite out of the courses I’ve played the past few weeks on the lower end of the price spectrum. It was the best kept course and the friendliest staff.
