Wentworth Golf Club

Fairways are brown, no grass, greens are punched out. Poor putting. Nothing good to say at this time, except pace of play was good, not very busy. Needs lots of work. Won't be playing here for several months.

This course is supposed to be one of the best maintained and well laid out courses in my local area according to GolfNow. I was really excited to play it today until I got to the first tee. The tee wasn't mowed, the fairway was completely bare nothing but bare dirt and the fringes that did have grass were not mowed. The greens were almost as bad. I played the front 9 and quit as it wasn't even good practice. If the course was in good condition it would probably be a nice place to play.

Like my review states—- do not play. This course needs to be closed, fire the golf superintendent, hire a new staff that cares about golf courses, get a better marketing director just close it

Not 1 tee box was cut properly, the 9 holes were choppy/ rough/ they rolled terrible… the bunkers —- re- rake them. Trim the grass around them more uniformly. Put some waters stations out…

Wentworth is promoting a 4th of July golf outing—- PLEASE DON’T

The course will not be ready for that type of outing

Was asked if I wanted a free round— I declined. Unfortunately the couldn’t get me to come back

I have played this course many times in the past. After a 4 year hiatus due to injuries and surgeries, I decided to make Wentworth my first attempt back.. I was totally shocked in how far this course had deterioted. Some greens totally gone and many fairways and tee boxes devoid of grass. Definitely could use some more water but that might not be enough to bring it back. It would be a sad loss with Wentworth being a good test of golf when conditioned properly.

Greens were patchy except for 3 holes. Barely any separation from fairway to rough. Not well maintained. Poor service from club house staff. For the price especially not worth it. Worst course I have played in my area. Has potential to be good if maintained properly.

I have played the course a number of times and have never played any course in as bad of condition as this one was today. Others have noted about bad tee boxes and fairways, I want to say they have only gotten worse. But it was the greens if you can call them that, they were more like a holding place for the flag and cup. I did not even bother trying to putt on most of them since they were nothing but dirt and weeds.

It is going to take a long time for this course to recover, and I hope it can.

I will not be back this year and maybe not even next year.

I noted a good pace of play and that was possible because there were probably less than 10 people (including me) on the course

I play this course many times slowly started deteriorating, it has gotten to the point that it is almost unplayable, tee boxes are none existent, the fairways are just dirt or over grown grass, the greens are just terrible, just dirt and not kept.

This is a shame, this was a beautiful course, still is, also the irrigation system is broken you see water spilling out all over.

Sure wish a company will take over and bring it back to what it used to be.

At the moment, I do not recommend this course, not at all.

I can't believe how bad they have let this course go.

I've been playing here for over 15 years and it has never even been close to this bad. Total brown out. Very sad and when I mentioned to the director he truly acted like he didn't even care.

I don't know what happened, but DO NOT PLAY HERE. Go to Babe or any other muni course before paying outrageously $60. It's unethical the fact they don't offer an immediate full refund when you step off 18 "green"

I didn't heed other reviews and REGRETspending the time or money!!!!

Played last fall and could see definate improvement. Since then it has become the worst conditioned golf course in a 1 hour radius.

New ownership no longer an excuse

Hurricane damage hit other courses in the area and they have rebounded way way better.

Either take care or the course or get out of the business

$53 þ play the worst course I’ve ever played. Never again.

Greens are not very good, getting worse. Got to fix them even though the snowbirds have left. Don't let this course be neglected. Has a nice layout. Regular price is TOO high.

Wow, what happened to this golf course? This course is almost as bad as Tarpon Woods. I read some of the reviews, but just didn’t believe them to be true. Well today, I got to see all the dry areas on the tees, fairways and greens! 18 holes in very sad condition.

Course is borderline unplayable; Tee boxes are uneven & and rough; fairways are nothing but dead grass, weeds, and crab grass; bunkers are basically mud; and my god the greens…bumpy/dead/diseased/dirt. Unplayable. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Management has let this place go into disrepair; no starter, no range balls, no groundscrew, half the carts don’t work. 1 guy manning both the Pro Shop and Snack Bar?
