Wentworth Golf Club is routed through a scenic and varied landscape of woods and wetlands. At 6,459 yards, the golf course is relatively short but it offers a demanding, target-style layout. The course has narrow fairways and small greens that run fast. The front nine is routed through towering stands of cypress trees, pines, and mature oaks while the back nine has a more links-style layout that will test your shot-making skills. Water hazards come into play on several holes but the far more prominent features of the course are the massive bunkers that lurk beside the fairways and greens, ready to swallow even slightly errant shots. Careful strategy is required throughout the course in order to avoid losing balls. In addition to the challenging layout, Wentworth G.C. boasts superb conditions that are considered some of the area's best.

Tight fairways. Small greens

The course is usually in good condition. It seems today they have been over watering near and around the greens. Lots of standing water around several greens. The bunkers are wet and compacted and not raked well. The greens are small in good condition. Medium speed. This course has some tight fairways and lots of water and bunkers. Play it straight and lay up smartly. It may take you 2-3 rounds to get familiar w some of the holes. Good scores are possible. But blow ups occur if you get into trouble off the tee.

Greens in excellent shape BUT:

Course has improved. Greens much better than 6-8 months ago but players are bound to destroy them. I observed elderly golfers driving the cart onto the greens to let themselves putt. We all know what will happen soon. THEY NEED A RANGER!!! I had to skip a hole due to their pace as I literally could hit anything but 4 irons off the tees while waiting for them to hit their third shot, I did this to help group behind not stand around all day. If you cannot walk 20 feet to the green, get a physical therapist. I am in my late 70s and work out so I can walk.

Soggy course due to rain

I would like to rate this course even higher, but to be fully honest, it was soggy. Not their fault, bit we have had a ton of rain. The staff was great and the carts were in great shape.

Despite the bad weather, the greens were still in very good shape. Excellent GolfNow d al gave us a great price for the round.

Wish I had time to stop at Mulligan's, it looked like a far above average 19th hole bar.
