Temple Terrace Golf & Country Club
About
Opened in 1922, Temple Terrace Golf & Country Club is one of the oldest courses in the Tampa Bay area. In fact, it's the only 18-hole golf course in Florida that's listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It's the centerpiece of the Temple Terrace community and it's much loved by locals. At 6,443 yards from the back tees, the golf course is short by modern standards but what it lacks in length it makes up for in other challenges. The layout has a traditional design with small greens and tree-lined fairways that demand accuracy. Several strategically positioned bunkers also come into play along the greens. There are some tight spots and a fair amount of tricky holes, but overall Temple Terrace is player friendly enough for all skill levels.

A nice change of pace course. Runs through an old neighborhood with cars always around. Large, old trees that seem to find their way into your line. Small green were in nice shape. Very little water for a Florida course. A nice course that is a little different from all the rest.
I came without my set of clubs. They do not hire clubs.
They found ugly dirty and 70's old clog clubs for me. …:(
If you do not have your own clubs, forget this golf course club...
Course is in overall nice shape
A dicey weather day led to a fairly open course to move around at a nice pace.
The course, overall, is in nice shape.
Greens rolling very well despite some slight evidence of recent aerification. Red flag rate is hard to beat!
Beautiful Course!
Great layout and in fantastic condition. Very much enjoyed the challenging course and fabulous value!
Excellent coarse, Friendly Staff, Recently went from Private to Semi Private
I wanted to play this course for a long time but couldn't because they were private and I just couldn't afford a membership. Played it for the first time and I wasn't disappointed. I only got 14 holes in because the sky opened up and left buckets of water down on us, BUT they were a great 14 holes. The coarse is well maintained and the staff was very friendly. The pace was great and as a single, every group in front of me stopped to let me through. I couldn't ask for a better day, except for water that came from the sky.
Oldest course in central florida
Temple Terrace is one of the oldest courses in the entire state. If you like a great layout and postage stamp green size, then you will love TTGCC. Well maintained, although greens were very healthy, a tad on the slowish side at about 9.Lots of trees and OB provide an awesome challenge for all levels. Great staff and wonderful service.
Excellent condition and fun to play.
The greens were excellent and pace of play was good. the design was interesting and enjoyable to play.
Grounds on this course are Pristine!
This is one of my favorite courses and because I booked thru Golfnow on a weekday after noon and caught a Hot Deal, it is by far the best value I have seen at only $11; usually around $50!!! I could not believe it. This is a Private course and the grounds were amazing. It was like playing on carpet. Best greens I have played on this year. Also, they had a "Member for the Day" rate as a hot deal for $13 where you could also use the pool and other amenities at the club. If I had more time, I would have done that, but the golf alone was worth every penny!
Fair value
Course was maintained in good condition. After checking in, they told us that there was a tournament scheduled, but they would let us join in. Shotgun start on #10. This should be posted before purchase.
beautiful well maintained course.
Challenging course, felt long from the middle tees. Greens in beautiful condition. Not much water for a Florida course, but plenty of hazards to contend with.
Historical site
Maybe it is because my home club is fron 1933, this one is even older from 1922, i favor thus venue.
Large and old trees all along every fairway relatively small greens. A typical park golfcourse.
We enoyed it very much.
