Babe Zaharias Golf Course

Greens patched up and hardly any grass on fairways.

I usually don’t give out bad reviews but this course was horrible! Greens were brown, burnt, hard and crusty. The rest of the course wasn’t much better. Paid $60 should only be a $25 course. I know it’s winter but people have to give honest reviews . Any Tampa courses that says $60 is probably a$30 course. Plan on paying $90-100

For a good course in Tampa

As usual, the staff was awesome - this includes pro shop, cafe and the starter. This course is short, but has a few very challenging holes. The greens are sloped and fast. So, keep that in mind in order to score low. I highly recommend.

We were behind a fivesome, when we tried to play through after 9, they approached us on the 10th tee and said , the group ahead of them was also a fivesome including the course director, and we should let them resume their position We played in just under 4 hrs but we have played this course in 3 hrs as a 3-some.

Poor golf etiquette, we teach our juniors to follow etiquette and these were not juniors

I have played there for decades, and the people running the course now are doing a fantastic job.

The greens are sticking better but half look like crap

Fairways and greens were very good. Greens a bit slow, but it doesn’t roll off on the down hill puts.

Course overall in fairly good condition, some fairways were dry and weedy, but overall good condition tea boxes in good shape considering

Public course

I usually do not like to trash courses, but this was definitely the worst course ive played in tampa bay. It’s horrible. The greens are basically a sand tramp, and the tee box is not even hittable.

This is a solid public course with some challenging holes. They could do a better job, keeping the rough lower and the greens in better shape. The greens are super fast, but they’re not well manicured. Still, the staff is friendly and helpful, and it’s a fine day on the course at Babe Zaharias.
