Rogers Park Golf Course

About
Located only minutes away from downtown Tampa, Rogers Park Golf Course offers easy access to Tampa International Airport and also the beautiful beaches of Tampa Bay. Although it has a convenient location near many attractions, it is secluded from the noise of busy streets and neighborhoods since the Hillsborough River almost completely surrounds it. The scenic golf course has water hazards coming into play on several holes and there are sand bunkers throughout. In addition to the course, Rogers Park is known for their extensive practice facilities. They boast of having one of Tampa's finest driving ranges and their three-hole course provides excellent short game practice.

Challenging Track in Great Condition!
My buddies and I have played Rogers Park numerous times and the course just keeps getting better! The fairways and greens were in great condition today with challenging upslopes etc. to boot! Definitely recommend playing this course if you're seeking fairways that are a little more open with less water than some of the other local tracks. Get out there and hit them straight ..
average in my book
average all around in conditions and layout. Probably will play other courses more than this one in the area
Typical public course
It’s your run of the mill public course. Probably $5-$10 over price but it’s so close to home it’s almost worth it. Driving is meh, not sure I trust the distance markers.
Great Historical Course
Great pace people friendly
Ok for City Course
As a long time Tampa resident and golfer, I’ve been curious about Rogers Park. The greens were surprisingly good but a few were a bit “hairy”. Tee boxes were in very good shape. Some of the fairways were barren and others were fine. The sand traps were some of the best in Tampa, lucky for me. As a twosome, we played fast in about 3.5 hours but at the turn a group or two jumped in front of us as they started their round on the back 9, which slowed our play down a bit. Having played public courses in Utah and New York, I’d love to see Tampa make our public courses on par with those locations.
Nice municipal golf course for the money
Nice course for the money if you are a 15 handicap or higher. Winter grass still not fully in, greens is good shape. Every hold is back and forth, if you are a single digit handicap you won’t like this course. If you like nice courses this isn’t one of them. It’s a good muni but that’s it.
Excellent Muni
Had a great time. Course was in better than good shape, especially for a MUNI. I'm looking forward to playing there again.
Looking good, keep it coming.
I’ve played on this course for the last five years. It is in much better condition and with a few minor landscaping improvements I could rate the course conditions a four star. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Enjoyed it, we loved the scenery., it’s just natural.
Decent course in Tampa
I played the course cause it was a 5 min drive from my house. Id say its ok, front 9 were better condition than back 9. Overall good if your near, otherwise feel there is better value around Tampa. Wasnt too busy so nice to zip through.
Great except for pace of play
My son and I play Rogers Park at least once a month. The course is in really nice condition- fairways, greens and rough. Staff is always friendly and helpful. However, there were two groups in front of us that held up our foursome every hole. The ladies in front of us took at least 10 strokes per hole. We finally went around them and skipped a hole. Then ran into four rowdy guys in who were goofing off the entire time and really slowed pace. It would be great if there was someone marshalling pace of play.
Fun Track - Rude Golf Shop Guy
Rogers has come along way in terms of course maintenance - greens are nice. Tee boxes and fairways decent. But THE JERK IN THE GOLF SHOP...c’mon dude. Most uneasy unwelcoming guy I’ve encountered in a golf shop ever. DID NOT make me want to come back...but I will, because this isn’t typical of Rogers! Give it a spin. Tell the Jerk in golf shop I say hello ;)
Rogers in great shape
Played with a friend in the morning. Course is in best shape in a long time. Greens are very nice although slow which is okay. Nice grass on fairways. Always friendly staff.
Great staff
This was a great course with very friendly staff. I would highly recommend this course for everyone
