Conestoga Golf Club
About
Located about an hour northeast of Las Vegas, Conestoga Golf Course tumbles across the desert canyons and arroyos of Mesquite. Gary Panks, the course's designer, wanted to create a course that looked as though it had been forged over time by nature. By utilizing the desert landscaping and natural washes, the result was a stunning layout that is as scenic as it is challenging. The rolling topography covers a range of elevation changes, providing not only tricky uneven lies but also views of the surrounding canyons. The course is enhanced even further with interesting rock outcroppings that are interspersed across the landscape and several different water features. In addition to the natural hazards, Panks incorporated over 50 strategically placed bunkers throughout Conestoga Golf Course. It is formidable, but the course has five sets of tees to accommodate a wide range of skill levels.

Staff very friendly. A couple fairway brown spots here and there but outside of that, it is a good condition.
Not as punishing as Wolf Creek
This was a difficult course, but not as punishing and as difficult as Wolf Creek. Wolf Creek has more of the wow factor because of the insane elevations and super blind shots. The only problem is that Wolf Creek overdoes those two things. Conestoga on the other hand has good amount of elevation, blind shots, and shot placement; all in a perfect balance. I'm super thankful for the starter who made our group move up one tee, otherwise it might have been a very miserable round, especially given the windy conditions. The course condition was absolutely perfect from tee to green. Every hole was super unique. The back nine was quite different from the front nine, and seemed to be more forgiving as well. The practice facilities were nice and pristine, with plenty of space for lots of people to practice. Only negative was that the golf carts didn't have GPS on them, so make sure to have a phone app or range finder to help you with your shot selection. In conclusion, Conestoga was probably my favorite course in Mesquite; not gimmicky and very well designed. I'll definitely want to come back to play it again.
Great course, not staff
It's a beautiful course. Challenging at times but manageable. The downfall was that unless you have a GPS app on your phone you have no idea where you're going to or the distances. The kitchen was closed at 1pm on a Saturday. Basically our group of 16 on the course yet we were hounded for playing too slow. If suggest Falcon's Ridge until the carts get GPS and the staff becomes more friendly.
Your Game Needs Some Work
I’ve played this course twice. First, let me say the course layout & condition is great. However, This second times was not a great experience due to poor staff. The starter was top notch, as was all the “pre-play” staff. But, once on the course, we waited on the group in front of us almost the whole round. I spoke to the Marshall, who did nothing because they were “locals.” Then the same Marshall barely even responded when we asked about water on the course. When it’s 95+ degrees and we’re paying $300/round, this is unacceptable!
If you want to be a destination resort course then act like one.
BEST GOLF COURSE IN MESQUITE!!!!
Just opened after their overseed. Incredible shape! Greens are rolling true and the course is like playing a brand new golf course!! A MUST PLAY!!! Best golf course in Mesquite by far!!!!
Best in Mesquite
Although it is offseason, this golf course is very playable and in great shape. The greens were punched but we expected that when we played. MUST PLAY!
Poor Maintenance
Fairways and rough are cut too short. From the fairways it is like hitting off the dirt. The mowers have scalped a lot of the fairways as a result the course is roped off on many holes. This causes slow play . The management doesn't seem customer oriented. The driving range is closed at 11:00 Am.
Best course in Mesquite!
Great layout, service and overall experience. Highly recommend.
Amazing!!!!!
Pace of play is horrible
Although a good course pace of play is at least 5 1/2 hours because staff is not permitted to speed up play. Nothing is enjoyable about a 5 1/2 hour round of golf. Private owners of the course care only about making money.
Great layout, but in poor shape
This is a great layout. It is my favorite course in the area and the only one I would enjoy playing every day. However, the course is in poor condition. The current ownership is failing this beautiful course. The maintenance crew do not seem to understand what they are doing. Every time they get a part of the course in good shape, they do something to make it bad again. The greens were finally in very good shape, so they aerate (10 weeks before they shut down to overseed). They waited too long to kill out the Rye overseed to get the Bermuda grass to come back in, so there are many bare or patchy areas. The hole cuts are poor and they don’t really think through where they place them. Just so many things they could do or do better. The course was run by Troon originally and it was in amazing shape (one of the best courses in the state), but with current ownership and course management, it is a hollow shell of its former great self.
Sanded greens
Should have been told greens were sanded before paying so I could have had a chance to play another course. Very disappointed!
Beautiful vistas!
The course and practice range is phenomenal. The staff was very helpful and friendly. There are a few holes that are tricky to play and the Marshall explained them in case we played the course for the 1 st time.
