Frog Hollow Golf Club in Middletown boasts the title of "best public golf course" in Delaware. The course has a links-style layout that is challenging but still player-friendly enough to appeal to beginners, seniors, and juniors. The layout is wide open and quite forgiving but there are still plenty of hazards with which to contend. There are more than 50 strategically placed bunkers throughout the golf course. Their thoughtful placement makes up the bulk of the layout's challenges. There are ponds that come into play on six holes as well as tall native grasses that appear along the fairways and greens. The wind is often a factor on the course too and will test your accuracy even further. Frog Hollow Golf Club's par 3s and par 5s are manageable but the par 4s will test even the best players.

Nice golf course
Frog Hollow is a nice golf course, especially for the rate I paid on GolfNow. The greens are in pretty good shape and the overall layout is nice. If I had one complaint it would be the rough could be cut a little shorter, it hard to find your ball just off the fairways.
Good for play with family
This course is good to play with family. Red tee setting is quite good for women players.
Staffs are friendly and course layout is nice. The course condition is usually good even after the rain.
Course great shape
This is the course to play in the area. Two other sisters courses are not in as good a shape as Frog Hollow. SSH , don't let the secret of this course get out.
Great Layout in Great Shape!
I played this course yesterday (7/8/2022), the course is in very good shape which reflects the hard work that Patrick and his staff have put in.
I really like the layout of this course, even though I don’t typically play it very well (scored 88 yesterday). There are dangers lurking on many of the holes, sometimes water, sometimes the tall fescue, and sometimes the strategic mounding.
The greens were a little slow for my liking, but understandable considering all the rain in the area recently.
Now, only if people can be better trained to repair ball marks! I repaired at least 4 on every green, drives me crazy!
First time out this season...
First time out this season and it was a great choice. We had a foursome play and the only thing that felt like it fell short was the tee times were at 10min and probably could have been around 15 min to keep things moving a little smoother. Besides that, the course was in great shape and amenities like a cooler on the cart and a USB charger were a bonus. I really enjoyed the round and plan to return again!!
Solid experience
Good layout and greens in very good condition. We were a twosome and five some somehow formed in front of us. Even if they are good, local golfers, it still takes time for these players. We simply skipped a hole and went around them after waiting.
Fairways too soggy today.

Redemption
This course had been in terrible condition after their irrigation system had been taken out by a lightening strike several years ago. Based on that issue....the course reviews had tanked. Yesterday was the first time that I had played FH since those issues. . The course is now in great shape, the greens roll true and the fairways are again lush and green. Cudos to the staff for pulling off an amazing course rebirth. There are some really challenging holes......with greens that are heavily contoured . Only issue was slow pace of play....on a Monday. Highly recommend giving this course another shot if like many of us golfers in the area, you had stayed away based on the past condition problems. It's definitely back.
Second time this year
The course has greened up nicely. Still a few boxes need love, but 85-90% tee to green . Completely back from past troubles. Played on a very windy day with gusts in the 30s. Finally at least oared the par 4 15th. ALWAYS seem to mess that on up. Not on this day..
Always worth playing with a hot deal!!!
Nice links style course
Some difficulties finding next hole as it winds through the housing. That otherwise is a benefit as holes are well spread out. Traps were all under repair but being actively repaired as we played. Greens super slow like FL but well groomed. Had to hammer putts to get them to the hole.
It is a nice flat course. Definitely would play often if I lived in the area
