About
Frog Hollow Golf Club in Middletown boasts the title of "best public golf course" in Delaware. The course has a links-style layout that is challenging but still player-friendly enough to appeal to beginners, seniors, and juniors. The layout is wide open and quite forgiving but there are still plenty of hazards with which to contend. There are more than 50 strategically placed bunkers throughout the golf course. Their thoughtful placement makes up the bulk of the layout's challenges. There are ponds that come into play on six holes as well as tall native grasses that appear along the fairways and greens. The wind is often a factor on the course too and will test your accuracy even further. Frog Hollow Golf Club's par 3s and par 5s are manageable but the par 4s will test even the best players.

Needs work
Nice layout but the fairways and greens need a lot of work. Used to be one of the nicer courses in Delaware but is not being kept up.
Course needs time to heal !!
I have played this course many times in the past, I have always enjoyed the experience. Today when we played there were three temporary greens.They lost every Teebox, and every green was a disaster. The fairways were also in horrible shape.
This course is a good track. I don’t know what happened, but I hope they get the course back in shape.

What Can You Expect For $14?
Hey man, they're rebuilding some stuff and offering amazing deals while doing it; you can't front on that. I had a blast, and blew through 18 in 2 and a half hours, and 4 and a half hours with my friend last week.

Still Recovering but Getting Better
I rated this 5 stars because I trust that by next season it’ll be back to the way it was. But conditions today were about 2.5/5. Course color is coming back. Fairways still have a lot of patchy uneven areas and most of their greens had sand on them as they aerate and try to get them Healed. The temp greens are pretty rough as they’re on fairway grass. Some tee boxes just have dirt and there’s a lot of crab grass on the course. I played this course 5 times this season before the irrigation failure because I love the layout, the affordability and is one of my favorites in the area. However, I won’t be back this season. We’ll see how things are come next spring.
VERY PLAYABLE
Played it for the first time since the did a lot of improvements in the last 2 months. It is very playable and has three alternate greens which were very food. Go enjoy the improvements.
The course was in horrible condition some of the green you could not put on you had to park on the fairway and they never told us about that it was not a good experience

Frog hollow
The course was in horrible shape. Played here a few years ago...like as recently as two years ago and the course was in great shape. This time the same couldn’t be said. It is off season(still warm plenty of locals still playing often) but this was really bad the greens are in real bad shape some aren’t even being used so you’re putting on the fairway. Not a fun round.

Not worth the price and trip

Currently a waste of money
Used to be a favorite of mine now I don't plan on playing it again until some serious maintenance is done. It has really gone downhill with fairways in dreadful conditions. The greens are being worked on it they're ot great and in fact when I played there were alternative greens which were simply awful. No longer an option for me..

Green under repair
Temp green were not even green rather just fairways before the actual greens. The fairways were in poor condition and there were lots of bare spots and lots of crabgrass. It will take many months for this course to get back to the was it was before the storm damaged their irrigation system. Come back next season.

Worst course I’ve played
Played on 9/14/2019. The course is in absolutely awful condition. Fairways were mostly dirt, bunkers have not been maintained in years, they had temporary greens because they were aerating the greens. This was the most depressing round of golf I’ve ever played due to the awful course conditions. I realize the weather has been hot and dry, but it seems like they neglect this course. Keep in mind I played this course about 4 or 5 years ago and it was stunning...not sure why they chose to neglect it recently, but if your planning to play here, I recommend you go elsewhere. It’s no fun golfing on this course. Very disappointing, not even worth the cheap price. I’ve played some bad golf courses over the years, but this is the worst I’ve ever seen. This course should be closed down until it’s repaired.

Course was a waste of time
Course was unplayable. Temporary greens were unplayable. Greens were like playing on rough. Holes were full of water and flagstick were broken. They should shut down course or at least warn the players that it’s not worth the money and mostly the time.

Poor Conditions
Glad I didn't pay full price to play. Course conditions were awful yet their web site claims it the best public course in the area. Not so! They said there was a lightning strike in July that interrupted their irrigation however the course should of come back by now.

Burned out.
Fairways, greens, even the tee boxes all burned out from the weather. Hard and cracked. The manager at the desk shouuld've refused to take the money.

BURN OUT!
I've played here in the past. First time this year that I played here. Every....I mean every fairway and green had burn out on at least half of it. This course in the past was never like this. I was totally shocked. Sometimes you might see some in the fairway, but this was ridiculous. I didn't ask, but they should have refunded my money. Just terrible.

How now brown crown
The course was struck by lightning which damaged the irrigation, some greens tee boxes and fairways showed the problem, but, this is still a great course and will be back even better soon. I love this course!
It was so bad that they should not be charging anybody to come and play on this course. They need to close it down fix it then maybe pay the dollars to play it was freaking horrible it sucked
