About
Deerfield Golf Club in Newark, Del., is a 145-acre public course, billed as a “natural treasure.” The 18-hole championship course gets the moniker thanks to its surroundings -- the ancient forest of White Clay Creek State Park. The 145-acre play, acquired by the state of Delaware in 2005, is a par-70, 6,323-yard golf course that features rolling terrain, smooth bent grass putting surfaces and scenic vistas. The mix of memorable, distinctive holes adds to the difficulty, as does the memorable, heavily wooded setting and dramatic elevation changes. Before or after your round at Deerfield Golf Club, enjoy the large putting green, full-service practice range, or lighted tennis and paddleball courts.

Needs better maintenance
Pins need to be changed more frequently, too many spike and ball marks. Tee boxes need maintenance.
Great shape slowish play
Course is in fantastic shape for those area at the moment slower play because of a group three groups ahead of us. But overall great course for the price
Great course and value
Great course design no 2 holes are the same very good challenge of golf. People are awesome first the staff and fellow golfer's
Birthday celebration
All of the course personnel were extremely courteous and professional. Course was in excellent condition. I highly recommend that you play this course.
Knuckle heads
They need a Ranger on the course to police some of the Knuckle heads out there. It shouldn't be put on the golfers that are there for a relaxing round.
real challenging course
Deerfield is in great shape right now. The greens are firm and fast. The fairways are in fine shape and the bunkers are perfect. The elevation changes really add to the difficulty of the course. With the greens as tough as they are, even the short par 4's are hard to score on. The staff is great here and the pub has great food and drink. This is one of the best facilities in the area.
Annual Dads Day outing
First time playing our annual Dads Day outing at this course. Will definitely return. Excellent staff, course, and amenities. Highly recommended.
Spectacular
Course is in wonderful condition. Lush and green. Greens are sloped and tough to 2 putt if you are on the wrong place on the green. Didn’t have to wait on any hole. 4 of us played in well under 4 hours.
