White Horse Golf Club
About
White Horse Golf Club has one of the toughest courses in the Northwest. Situated on the Kitsap Peninsula, the course is located just five minutes south of the Kingston ferry terminal. The course sits on the Puget Sound between the Olympic and Cascade Mountains, offering panoramic views on every hole. When the Suquamish Tribe bought the club in 2010, one of their top priorities was to make the course more playable. They enlisted John Harbottle for the job, a local architect who has designed several layouts throughout the state. By taking out nearly half of the bunkers, he opened up the greens and made them more approachable. He also widened the fairways and made the landing areas more generous. Since the update, White Horse Golf Club has become one of the most popular on the peninsula.

Very good course
Good green scenery and place of fun game for golfer.
Keep it secret
Worth coming too from anywhere in Seattle area
New favorite course
Very good drainage when wet
Always great shape
Bad Weather/Great Time
First time at White Horse. Was very pleased with the course. If you usually play the "white tees", play the "Blues". I can tell the greens will be fast come the dryer season (Remind me of Gold Mtn. Olympic ). More rolls than a bakery on a lot of the holes so positioning is key. I will definitely be back.
Northwest Gem
I play this course often and it is always in great shape. The Suquamish Tribe took ownership of the facility a few years ago and greatly improved it from its previous condition. The clubhouse/pro shop is beautiful and the practice range is great!
Only complaint from my round yesterday is that the bar closed at 4:00. It was a beautiful February day and the course was pretty full. We finished right at 4:00 and were looking forward to a drink and snacks on the deck but no such luck! We were not the only ones disappointed.
Excellant
Course was in great shape. Greens were firm even though it was raining. Best deal in kitsap
Golf on a winter day
In spite of the recent snow and heavy rains the course was in excellent shape. There were no temporary greens and the fairways as always drain very well. The staff in the pro shop were very friendly and welcoming. Contrary to the weather forecast the sun presented itself and it was an excellent day.
Good course
Whitehorse is one of the best courses around. Very challenging, well designed. Tough course actually. Drains well, which is pretty important during the wet winter months.
excellent greens
Great drainage, the best place for winter golf in the state. Greens are firm and fast for February.
Christmas Eve Golf
Course almost to ourselves on Christmas Eve. Weather was exceptional for December. Very Challenging, but fun.
Challanging but fair
This course is a lot of fun to play. It is a challenge but fair to all golfers as long as they know their limits. Play the right tees. It is important to hit fairways and greens and that will only happen from the proper tees. It takes a few times playing it to learn where to hit into the greens as that does make a difference. Tricky greens make it a must to be able to read the greens in order to score.
Rolling fairways, deep bunkers and challenging greens make Whitehorse a wonderful golf experience.
Whitehorse was in excellent condition. The greens were pristine for this time of year. Even with all the rain we've had the ball had decent roll on the fairways. This is a challenging course with plenty of bunkers, rough, rolling fairways, and undulating greens to satisfy any golfer.
The staff was outstanding! Welcoming, accommodating and helpful. We can't wait to go back.
great greens
first time at Whitehorse, had a great time. The greens were in great shape on the first day of fall. Can't wait to play again.
I think the course needed a starter.
A starter was needed to announce who is on the tee. We had some difficulty getting off the first tee.
course is getting soft
White golf course is getting softer and mosquito problems got 10+ bites. Proshop should have inform me about mosquitos.
course was beutiful
fourth time playing this course will play again anytime
well maintained, finally broke 100
This course has fast but true greens in excellent shape, really fun challenge...
Fast and true greens that were well maintained and challenging. Picturesque and interesting layout...take a cart for sure. A great experience and wonderful club house and restaurant.
fun challenge
It kills me at times, but a fun challenge. One of these times I will get the best of the course.
A must play every time I'm in the Seattle area.
Just a great course with a friendly staff and a nice practice area. It is a wonderful course to walk but there is some distance between some of the holes. The course runs thru a forest so it has a nice quiet feel. Seeing deer on the fairways and a bald eagle in the sky was a extra treat, Pick the right tees to play or it could be a long day. Very nice greens, firm and fast with some undulations. Coarse gray sand in the bunkers may not be for everyone.
great use of a dense forest
We were asked to pick up play and keep up with group in front of us which was a twosome and we were a foursome. We played in four hours which is very reasonable. It seems like there was a twilight behind us and they were just trying to get up out of the way. Unfortunate and uncomfortable for us.
